Nico di Angelo sat outside of his World History class, people walked by whispering, not about him though; about the human embodiment of the sun that sat next to him, with his arm wrapped around Nico, holding him close. Will had been ranting about his love for Texas per the request of Nico, who had asked what it was like in one of the biggest states in America.

“Texas sounds fucking weird,” Nico muttered, only halfway paying attention, the other half was listening to the whispers and mutters.

“Yeah, but I loved it there, the sun was beautiful at all times,” Will said, smiling as he reminisced at the memory “And Long Island’s weather is inconsistent.” Will frowned slightly.

“Yeah it’s something,” Nico mumbled, staring at a group of students who were standing across the hallway staring at them. He wanted to move from their eyesight and escape their whispers. Will looked at him, noticing his lack of attention toward him. He looked at the Italian, raising his eyebrows.

“Then, supernatural aliens came in, and tried to kill the entire school!” Will exclaimed, slight sarcasm in his voice.

   “Yeah, that sounds like Texas.”

“Death Boy!” Will whined, shoving him slightly. Nico turned his full focus to Will, resisting the urge to listen to the whispers. “What’s wrong?” He asked, noticing the small change in his face.

“It’s nothing. What did the aliens do next?” Nico asked with a smile, forcing himself to fixate on Will.

“Don’t lie to me. You’re really bad at it.” Will said, trying to pull Nico impossibly closer to him. Nico glanced at the group that was still standing there, now with their phones out, failing to discreetly record them while laughing. Will noticed them, and then looked back at Nico.

“Them?” Nico looked away, suddenly becoming interested in the concrete floor. Will sighed, placing his fingers under Nico’s chin and turning his face to his own. He then kissed him, pressing his lips softly against Nicos, smiling as he felt Nico’s hold on him tighten. Will gently pulled back, watching as Nico slowly opened his eyes.

B“Is that better, darling?” Will asked, smiling as Nico, covered his face with his hands.

“Shut up.” He muttered. “But yes.” Will laughed a little, noticing the group of teens had walked away. “I hate high schoolers.”

   “We are high schoolers.”

   “My point still stands.”

“Well, I like a certain short, emo, Italian Death Boy, who just happens to be a high schooler,” Will said, pulling him close and kissing his forehead.

“I guess there’s one high schooler that I can handle. He’s tall, from Texas, likes helping people, and is the embodiment of the fucking sun, who sometimes makes it better here.” Nico said, leaning into his touch. “But don’t tell him I said that, it’ll go straight to his already inflated ego.”

“It’s a bit too late for that, darling.” Will chuckled slightly, pulling him closer as the bell rang.

“Is that Nico di Angelo and Will Solace?” Reyna said with a fake shocked expression on her face as the two walked over to her, hands interlocked. “Together!” She smiled.

“You already know,” Nico mumbled sitting down.

“Yeah, but I love basking in my ‘I told you so’.”

   “Yes Reyna, you were right.”

“Thank you, thank you,” Reyna said, waving in the air as if she were a famous person on a pedestal. “So– Will, I need to give you my RA.”
