Nico di Angelo cuddled up against his boyfriend on his couch, holding tightly onto him. After they had come back to Nico’s house on Friday night, Will had been quiet and in his thoughts. So they simply just fell asleep while watching Star Wars. Will ran his fingers through Nico’s hair and enjoyed the feeling of his Death Boy’s warmth and comfort. Nico slightly hummed, smiling in his half-asleep state.

“Good morning Lord of Darkness,” Will whispered, using his other hand to rub small circles into his back. Nico shook his head and shuffled himself closer into the taller touch, not wanting to wake up yet.

“Too early, my darling?” Nico nodded. Will flinched when he heard footsteps, he saw white heels appear from the staircase, he reacted and pushed Nico up and off him, throwing himself to the side and standing awkwardly next to the couch quickly catching a vase he had almost knocked over, Nico blinked open his eyes from his place on the couch and gave him a confused look. The woman walked down the stairs knitting her eyebrows at Will.

“If you were going to rob us you could at least be quieter.” She said walking into the kitchen to make her morning coffee.

“What! No– I wasn’t– I just–” Will stuttered out words placing the vase back onto the shelf, unsure of exactly what to say to Nico’s stepmother.

“Sunshine, shut up,” Nico mumbled, still in a half-asleep state. “She doesn’t care.” He said, blindly reaching out in search of Will. The blonde opened his mouth to provide some kind of argument but quickly closed his mouth when the woman walked back with a black mug in her hands.

“He’s right. I don’t care about who he spends his time with. Even if they’re a criminal.” She said, taking her coffee upstairs, not bothering to look at them. Will rested his shoulders when she had gotten out of his sight.

“Ugh!” Nico grumbled, opening his eyes and glaring at Will giving up on his blind search.

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Will said, his tone doused in sarcasm as he sat down next to Nico. “I just didn’t want to out you or anything.” His tone was more comforting now as Nico moved next to Will, throwing his arms onto him.

“She knows and she’s fine with it. As long as I’m not in danger, hurting myself or others then it doesn’t bother her.” Nico said, enjoying the feeling of Will next to him.

“No wonder all you eat is Mcdonalds and Monsters.” Will teased, wrapping his arm around his boyfriend and pulling him close.

“Nope, I chose that on my own.” Nico beamed, turning to look at Will. He smiled at him, Nico missed that smile, he hadn’t seen that since last night while they were talking about texas during dinner, he had even frowned while they watched Star Wars. Nico knew it would be hard for Will and all he could do was be there for him as he got through it.

“I’m sorry about your parents,” Nico said, staring at him.

“It’s okay, darling.” He said, leaning forward and planting a small kiss on Nico’s forehead. “I do have a question though,” Will said, resting his head on Nico’s.

“Is it another stupid one?” Nico asked, sitting up with a smirk on his face.

   “It might be.”

   “Just ask me.”

   “You sure?”

   “Sunshine, I swear–”

“Okay, okay. So remember back on the first day of school when Annabeth mentioned something that happened in middle school?” Nico nodded, his breath slightly speeding up, not noticeable enough but still present in his lungs. “I watched this video some kid took before your fight with Octavian and he mentioned it as well. And I’ve been wondering, what happened?” His voice was slow as he asked almost as if he were scared of the answer.
