song - maniac by conan gray

"Right this way, Miss Quinn." Galavan says walking a few feet in front of Harley. Right now, he's showing each of the inmates around to their rooms. Harley ended up being the last one on the list, and now she is alone with the mysterious millionaire.

"You can drop the dumb formalities, and just call me Harley." She tells him dryly. He looks over his shoulder at her, as she continues explaining, "Apparently you know me well enough to know whatever my 'skills' are." She puts the word skills in quotation marks with her hands. He squints at her.

"Of course you have skills Harley." He chuckles slightly, then slows to a stop.

"Like what? I might have skills but they're not any different from the others'." She crosses her arms. This guy doesn't have the slightest idea of who I am, she thinks to herself.

"That's just simply not true. You have beauty, the skill of seduction." He assures her of her talents. Almost like he's trying to convince himself that bringing her along was a good idea.

"You said the same thing to Barbara. So why didn't you tell me that yesterday?" She raises an eyebrow. Something is off about this guy to her. To her it just feels like he was trying to quickly search his brain for an answer, and accidently ended up just repeating what he said to Barbara.

"I figured it would stupid of me to say it directly in front of Jerome. He doesn't strike me as a person who's okay with another man saying that to his girlfriend."

"So, you think I'm the same as Barbara?" She finally spits out what she's been thinking.

"No, you have ambition. Barbara doesn't know what she wants. I read your file. You killed your father at such a young age, that shows courage. You convinced Jerome to kill his own mother, that shows your charisma. You were put into a position of power by a woman named Fish Mooney. I'm assuming she'd only do that for people with loyalty." She widens her eyes at the unexpected detailed, and definitely personalized answer. He holds his hands behind his back stiffly, like he doesn't notice her surprised expression. She collects her thoughts and still manages to come up with a derogatory reply.

"I'm loyal to Fish, but that's because she's family. I'm not loyal to you." She gazes up at him with an intense glare. Then before he can reply she changes the subject, "Actually now that I think about it, I don't want my own room. I'm gonna go stay with Jerome. See you later Mr. Rich, or whatever your name is." She spins around and strides quickly to the room where they dropped off Jerome previously.

She opens the large heavy wooden door leading into his fancy new room. It's mostly empty, and the only noticeable piece of furniture is the giant bed that's in her vision as soon as she enters the room. She shuffles forward, glancing around the room quickly, searching for Jerome.

"Jerome....?" She calls out for him. Suddenly the door slams shut, and someone comes up from behind her. They wrap one arm at her front and the other gently pressing a knife against her throat. She gasps shocked, feeling the cold metal touch her skin gently, so it doesn't break and she bleeds out.

She looks out the corner of her eye to see Jerome on the other end of the weapon, and she laughs out of relief. She still doesn't move her head while laughing though, and remains frozen, so she doesn't cut herself. Even with it just being him, she feels her blood rush faster through her veins from the thrill. She loved the thrill that violence always brought her. They both did.
