I saw Bramblestar coming out of his den and looked at me. "Who is this, a trespasser? " He growled.

Lionblaze looked up and shook his head. "Her name is Scar. She has no memory of how she got here and wishes to join the clan."

Bramblestar looked at me and asked, "Why do you think I should let you join my clan?"

"I know my white coat will make it hard for me to hunt, but I am strong and like I said have nowhere to go. I don't know anything about survival on my own in this state. Honestly, it's either make it into a clan or die."

"Hmm, I'll give you a chance. I'm sure Firestar would have done the same thing." He stood tall on top of a high ledge that toward over the camp.  "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath high ledge for a clan meeting."

The cats came from all directions and sat down looking confused and when they saw me got angry and started to hiss comments to me I will never say. 'Should I really do this? Will they accept me as a clan cat?' All these questions popped in my head and I became aware of Bramblestar starting to speak.

"A cat was caught on Thunderclan territory asking to join the clan." He stopped as sharp comments rose from the crowd of cats. Bramblestar silenced them and started again. "Scar you will be trained as an apprentice. From this point on until you have earned your warrior name will be known as Scarpaw. Your mentor will be Graystripe."

I turned to see Graystripe sigh as he walked toward me and touched noses to symbolize he was my mentor. I started to shake in my skin when I saw the annoyance in his eyes; my favorite cat, and I went too far on questions. Now he doesn't like me. 'Great start to a clan life.' I thought sarcastically.

"What do you want to do first?" Graystripe asked when the clan went back to their normal routine.

I looked at him and sighed. "I don't know, collect moss I guess. Nothing else to really do. Plus, it must be done right?"

Graystripe looked at me like I was a badger with ten legs. "You want to collect moss? Thats the first time a cat really asked to do that."

"Well then I'm the first. It will help my claws stay strong for when it is time for any form of combat." I mewed already knowing everything to be a warrior.

"I guess." Graystripe mewed. "Lets go to the moss tree." He turned around and walked to the entrance that led into the outside territory of camp. I looked at him then followed.

We walked in silence for it seemed like ages then i finally spoke, "Why do you dislike me Graystripe? You were like my favorite cat..." Then i stopped once i found out what i said.

After we walked for awhile Graystripe stopped and turned around. "What do You know about the clans? You seem to know a lot about them considering you have no idea how you even got here."

I tried to ignore everything and started to scrape moss off the trees. Thats when he pinned me to the ground claws out, ripping into my flesh. His claws were sharper then a knife it seemed. "Answer me!" He scowled. "How do you know about the clans?"

I lied there, refusing to move. His claws were too sharp to do anything. With luck, I heard a voice.

"What are you doing! I'm going to have to use more of my precious herbs to heal your apprentice because of your stupid claws." The cat said with annoyance.

I looked up slightly and saw two sightless eyes. "JAYFEATHER! Help I am being clawed to death by my crazy mentor!"

Jayfeather looked at me, 'Really? I keep making mindless comments that are just plain stupid. I am in for it this time, he is so cranky all the time; he will probably let Graystripe kill me.

"Let go of her, Graystripe. She is a cat of no harm and is very fond of us. Tell me, how do you know about us?"
