Chapter sixteen: Secrets

It has been three sun rises since that night with Darkflash. All I could think about was him and his kind heart, his dark pelt, and his gentle eyes.
Jayfeather doesn't and will not know of my secret meeting with the cat I love from a enemy clan. It was dark and I was about to leave to meet him again, but then I realized that there were warriors watching the camp. I sighed as I thought how I would get out. The secret exit I found not to long ago! That was it, I ran to the back of the den and squeezed through the small hole in the wall. I then ran to four trees to meet Darkflash.

"Scarpaw!" The voice of Darkflash made me jump and I turned around, purring.

"Hello my love." I replied lovingly, "I missed you."

DarkFlash purred as he rubbed against me, "as for I." He looked at me and asked, "when will you get your full medicine cat name anyway?"

I shrugged, "I don't know, maybe tomorrow at the moon pool?" I heard Jayfeather talking about it to Briarlight last night when I was "sleeping".

Darkflash nodded and looked at his paws, "I really love you Scarpaw." he mewed shyly.

I purred and rubbed my head against his shoulder, "I love you too, Darkflash." I looked at him as he was still looking at his paws. I lifted his head with my paws and looked into his eyes, "why are you so shy today?" I asked.

"I don't know," he sighed, "what happens if we get caught? we would be in huge trouble, not only by the medicine cats but also with the clans." He sobbed a little and shivered as he looked back down. "I don't want to loose you."

I looked at him for a long moment before I smiled and put my tail on his shoulder. "I will always be with you, I will never leave you." I lifter his head again and smiled, trust me. you won't loose me, if we get caught then I will join your clan or we could leave the clans and be rouges together."

"Buy what if that isn't the case, what if they..." I put my paw on his mouth to make him stop talking.

"Nothing will happen to us as long as we are together Darkflash, okay?" I mewed to him calmly. He nodded and I nodded back to him. "it's getting to be morning we should get back to our camps." I mewed to him.

"Yes you should." a sharp voice from behind me made us jump. it was Bramblestar.
