Part 1 ——— When Edd came home, he took in the sight of Tom and Tord with a lot of books. Ringo was napping on the table and Edd walked up to Ringo to take pictures.
He ignored the two humans for a solid eight minutes. Once he was done with his picture and posting them on social media, he turned to acknowledge his roommates.
"Hey, when did you get here?", questioned Edd.
"We were here the whole time.", responded Tom.
"Oh.", was all Edd said before he went upstairs.
Tom shook his head and Tord watched all happen. Tom turned to him. Tord smiled and showed he was attentive.
"It's getting late, why don't we head in for the night?", said Tom.
Tord nodded and stood up, Tom was already at the stairs. Tord dropped his smile and the room dropped in temperature. He stared blankly where Tom was moments ago.
He placed his hand on the table where Tom hand his. He imagined it was still there. Tom's hand was smaller than Tord's.
Tord has a slightly distorted smile when he parted his lips. He snapped his mouth shut and quickly turned to Ringo.
Ringo jumped up with their back arched. Ringo hissed at Tord in warning.
Tord relaxed his posture and calmed himself down. He took control of himself, he locked the bad thoughts away.
Ringo cautiously eased back to their spot. One ear still perked and their eyes on him. Tord took a step back and held his hands up.
Ringo watched as Tord struggled with his mind and body; neither one cooperating.
Eventually, Tord gave up. He gave Ringo a bored expression as he went up stairs. After a pause, Ringo darted to the base of the stairs.
Ringo carefully made their way up and listened. They could hear where Tom was, in his room getting ready for bed. Ringo tensed as they tried to find Tord.
Ringo slowly prowled through the hall, both ears standing in attention. Ringo finally heard him. Tord went to his room and had been sitting at his desk.
Satisfied with that, Ringo went to Edd's door. Ringo scratched the door until Edd let them in. They settled in for the night.
Two days until Matt comes back and the whole group could be together. ————-
