Tom and Tord left the diner to go to a music shop. Inside had a decent amount of instruments and music related items.

Tom led Tord past the other customers to the corner that had a sign saying 'Repair'.

"Hey! It's Tom- #34512? Is Susan ready?", said Tom.

Tord was a little wary of this "Susan", but figured it was the name of an instrument considering the sign.

"No sir, got wait for the strings to come in.", said the repair woman.

"Alright, I'll come by next week then.", said Tom.

"They'll be here by then.", confirmed the repair woman.

Tom and Tord left the music shop and walked over to a bench. They sat down to rest.

"You play string?", asked Tord after a few minutes.

"Uh- Susan is a bass, yeah. Edd wasn't careful and got her smashed up. Cost me some pounds to get her fixed.", replied Tom.

Tord hummed and decided to analyze the town. He remembered the street from the first two weeks living with his pen pal. He did not remember in detail.

"There's a neat ice cream shop a block from here. Want to try it?", questioned Tom.

Tord didn't feel like talking so he nodded. Tord quietly followed Tom, watching his every move and all the little details.

The ice cream shop was cold and full of other people. Tom didn't go for the counter, instead he sat at a table in the back.

"Here, I'll get a copy of the menu.", said Tom.

Tord observed his surroundings silently. He noted all the interactions happening around him. He didn't understand all of them.

Logically he did in a few points, some escaped his grasp. He studied them, and then pulled out his notebook.

He wrote down what he saw and some notes to look into later.

"I'm back!", Tom smiled and handed Tord the menu.

Tord did not have much interest or like towards many things, so he wasn't picky with his taste. He noticed there were experimental flavors he could try.

Tord tapped Tom's arm. Tom looked at him, he beaconed Tom over.

Tom scooted closer and looked over Tord's shoulder. Tord was pointing at a combination of watermelon, kiwi, and strawberry ice cream.

"That is called Fruit Blast. I've tried it. I didn't like the kiwi. You can try if you want.", said Tom.

Tord nodded, grateful that Tom respected his desire not to talk. Tom left to order.

Tord was alone at the table again. He placed the menu in his notebook and tucked it a way.

He and Tom said nothing as they ate the second time in a row.

They left the ice cream shop and headed over to a park. There weren't that many people. Half way through their fourth round of the park, Tom giggled.

Happy to hear the sound, Tord looked at Tom. Tom gave him an embarrassed grin.

"Sorry! It's just... you probably think I'm a glutton.", said Tom.

Tom rubbed the back of his neck. Tord looked at him in confusion. They kept walking.

"I mean... we just had breakfast and not to long after we got ice cream!", explained Tom.

Tord reassured Tom by patted his shoulder and shaking his head. Tom was a thin guy, surely it took a lot to grow bigger.

Tord realized he didn't know Tom's age. Tom looked young so maybe he still had time to grow?

Tom suspected Tord was thinking about his height.

"Just to remind you, you are not that much taller than me.", remarked Tom.

Tord chuckled and gave Tom an amused smile. Tord held his arms up and walked backwards, slowly in front of Tom.

For that one moment of stare down, Tord sprinted a way. Tom chased him out of principle. Tom could not keep up however.

Tord stopped and slowly walked over to Tom. He watched Tom try to breath. Tord was doing well with his charismatic act.

Tom probably did even realize the truth of his expressions.

"He so fake. ha", thought Tom as he gasped for air.

Tord himself hadn't thought Tom was acting either.
