Those who cross the finish line without getting caught in five minutes pass this round.
Then let the game begin
Everyone stood there ready, especially the two friends who looked as if they were competing for the Olympics. As the timer went on and the large statue started talking, everyone started briefly walking except the two friends who ran. Right after the statue stopped talking, it turned its head 360 degrees and saw player 324 still trying to get balanced and the statue noticed that he was still moving.
Player 324. Eliminated.
Player 250 grinned at his friend getting caught. "That idiot got caught." Right after he said that, a big shot rang through the field. His friend then dropped to the floor, leaving everyone puzzled. One of the players asked what that sound was. After a few moments, the statue turned its head back to the tree and began to chant. Player 250 steadily walked to his friend and stopped when he was next to his friend and the chant ended. As the statue turned its head to see any movement, player 250 whispered to his friend lying on the ground. "Hey, you're eliminated, you idiot. Stop putting on a show and get up." but right after he said that, his friend coughed up blood which made player 250 begin to slowly walk back. When the statue saw his movement and maintained eye contact with each other, and when the player saw that, he turned around and began to run. But another shot rang out and hit the player. As he dropped dead, his blood splashed blood on a woman, player 306. She stood there in a state of shock.
She lifted her hands to her face and wiped her hands across her cheeks and checked to see what splatted her face. It was blood. Once she saw that, she began to scream, but her screams weren't the only thing that rang throughout the building. A shot also went through the building and hit the woman.
That only made the players in the front panic and began to run back to the doors. At the same time, the snipers began to shoot the people moving. Kyung-mi was at the back, unaware of what happened. Sang-woo starts looking around to also see what was going on, but he was knocked around by the players and ended up separating from Kyung-mi. Kyung-mi on the other hand was also trying to see what they were running from. As a man was running towards her, one of the snipers shot the man's back and she fell right on top of Kyung-mi.
As players were trampling over bodies to get to the door, they soon found out it was locked and the snipers continued to shoot the people by the door and anyone else moving. The statue's eyes moved all in different directions and finally managed to pick out who was eliminated and who was safe. As bodies piled up in front of the doorway, The Front, up in his room, continued to sit on the couch and poured a drink in his cup next to where his mask sat on the stand. As the last shot echoed, he took a sip of his drink as everything went quiet and still. After that, the speaker announced the rules again.
As it continued to say the rules again, Kyung-mi managed to not get eliminated, but she was pinned down by a dead player who was on top of her. Afterwards, the speaker announced for the game to begin once again, and so the statue chanted. But no one was moving, everyone was too scared to move, even if it was just an inch. But out of all the remaining players, the old man, Player 1, was the only one who moved and stopped when the statue stopped chanting. The old man wasn't scared at all, but instead, he was having fun. He had a smile across his face as if he was given a puppy for Christmas. After the second chant, everyone else started moving forward and 2 players got killed after the chant.
In the third chant, the statue started chanting a lot faster and afterwards, one man was shot and it was right in front of Kyung-mi. She continued to lay there, shaking in fear. Sang-woo managed to get close enough to Kyung-mi to talk to her calmly. "Kyung-mi, don't turn your head. Just listen. You'll die if you stay like that, I think that doll is a motion sensor. You won't be caught if you hide behind someone." Then as the chant began, Sang-woo quickly walked behind a person and after it was over, he looked back at Kyung-mi, pointed at the time and whispered, "There's no time." Kyung-mi saw that there was 2 minutes left, and she had to get up. Right as the statue started chanting, she quickly stood up and began to walk behind someone.
As player 101 was walking as it chanted, he immediately stopped right before it stopped chanting. "Who has been behind me all along?" Then the player behind him said, "The one who backstabbed you." It was player 67, and that answer made player 101 incredibly scared and uncomfortable, but of course, he didn't show it. "You bitch.." Was all he could say. Player 67 continued to say, "Want me to stab you in the back again?" As she said that, she grabbed player 101's hair as he pleaded, "No, don't...Please." This only amused player 67, "Stop trembling, moron. You'll die if you get caught." Then the chant began and player 67 yanked player 101's hair back, causing him to fall back but the chant still sang as he was falling and stopped once he hit the ground, so he was safe.
As a few people started getting shot, the player in front of Kyung-mi was one of those who got shot and she stood there terrified. Once the chant started, she stepped over the man but her leg got caught on something. The man who got shot was still alive. He pleaded with her to help him, but Kyung-mi couldn't. She had a limited amount of time left and he would be a burden. Once the chant began again, she tried to release herself, but she couldn't. But once the chant ended, when Kyung-mi finally released her ankle, but the chant had already ended, she waited for a gunshot, but none came.
Kyung-mi smiled brightly as no bullet hit her. One of the players noticed that she moved but didn't get shot. "Hey! She moved!" A gunshot echoed across the building, but instead of hitting Kyung-mi, it hit the man that called her out. Throughout the minute, she did move a couple times but she didn't get shot. She was happy that she hadn't gotten shot, but she didn't want to push her luck so far. She needs to save that luck in later games.
With less than one minute left in the game, everyone rushed for the line and a lot more people were shot. With every elimination, the player's picture in the security room will go black. With 20 seconds remaining, Sang-woo and many other people managed to cross the line and they are now safe from elimination in that game. Sang-woo looked over at the field to see Kyung-mi still behind the line. He had a sense of fear and worry in his eyes which even worried Kyung-mi and pressured her to finish.
Once the statue turned its head, Kyung-mi ran for the finish line, but she tripped on a player's arm and started falling. But to her luck, the statue stopped chanting and was already looking for movement. The statue didn't even notice Kyung-mi. She was caught by another player. She stayed in that position as the mysterious player continued to hold onto Kyung-mi's jacket. Sang-woo stared at them in shock, he was glad that Kyung-mi didn't get eliminated, but why did the player save her? Once the statue turned around, both Kyung-mi and the mysterious player both ran to the finish line. With 3 seconds remaining, both Kyung-mi and the player jumped over the line as the timer hit zero.
The remaining players on the field were shot dead. But the players that did make it got to lay down and take a break for a while, relieved that the 30 minutes of hell is finally over.
