Neveah swayed back and forth as she stood in front of Ashtray who was sitting down on a box next to the cash register.
The two were sitting out front of the market chillin. Over the past few weeks Neveah started hanging out with Ashtray more often, since she stopped hanging out with Rue and started secretly started skipping school.
Neveah wasn't nesosarily mad at Rue she was just upset with her, for ditching her when that drug dealer came, and literally didn't text her to check on her or anything. Neveah was all about loyalty and how people treated her. She loved Rue a lot but she would never let someone treat her like a door matt, no matter who it was.
"Okay but for real though, you needa start taking yo ass to school." Ashtray looked at Neveah with a serious face.
She rolled her eyes and sat beside him, "I'll go.... Eventually." she shrugged as if it was no big deal.
"I ain jokin around V, I know you prolly hate it cus it's ass but like one day you can get a degree to be like I don't know a fuckin vet or whatever the fuck it is that you wanna be." Ashtray explained to the girl, "You're literally so lucky, you don't have to go to school and just be like a badass drug dealer, pulling hella bitches and slay."
Ashtray frowned, "Don't you ever say that shit again. I aint slayin nothin weirdo." Neveah giggled at the boy. His phone started to buzz, so he took it out of his pocket.
Ashtray glanced down at his phone, then glanced back at Neveah. She figured it was probably something important so she just stayed silent as Ashtray got up, walking away to take the call.
After a few minutes Ashtray came back and quickly put his phone back into his pocket.
"Who was that?" Neveah hesitantly asked, "Damn, Nosey ass." Ashtray chuckled, "But uh, nothin serious don't worry bout it."
Neveah's whole demeanor had changed, "Oh okay." she simply let out as she pulled her phone out of her pocket.
"What?" Ashtray frowned at Neveah, "Nothin." she muttered, refusing to make eye contact with him.
"Oh." Ashtray smirked, and snatched her phone from her hands, "You think I'm taking to a girl or sum huh?"
"No. I never said that." Neveah groaned reaching for her phone, Ashtray held it up above his head pulling it further and further away each time she tried to take it.
"Then why you actin like a lil softy." Ashtray chuckled, handing her the phone back.
"Am not." Neveah put her phone into her pocket and looked down at her shoes.
"Then look at me." Ashtray stated, Neveah shook her head no, Ashtray rolled his eyes and lifted her chin up to face him.
"What bruh?" She groaned with an attitude in her tone, Ashtray frowned his eyebrows at the girl, "Nah. Drop the attitude, we not about to do that."
"There is no fuckin attitude Ash." Neveah rolled her eyes as she began to get annoyed.
"Then the fuck is yo problem for real, cus I ain about to sit here witchu if you gonna act like a baby, so either tell me straight up or dip."
Neveah let out a sigh as her eyes began to water, "I don't get you." she started, "I like- I don't know Ash. I feel weird with you like not a bad weird but just weird. I get nervous around you and I'm starting to like you but I don't want to feel that way about you Ash."
Ashtray didn't say anything he just store at her, "Like I know we just met a few weeks ago but like you talking with other girls and then flirting with me just confuses me, I know you're not good with your emotions but tell me now where do I stand with you. Am I a homie? Someone who's pants your just trying to get into? A sister? I may not seem like it but i'm a very sensitive person and I get att-" Neveah began to cry, Ashtray used his thumb to wipe underneath her eye, "I fuck wit you heavy V. You really think i'd be hangin witchu this much if I didn't like you?"
"I- I don't know Ash, I don't fucking know." Neveah let out a big sigh.
"If I was just using you just know I woulda been hit it, and if I thought of you like a sister I wouldn't have been flirting witchu cus I ain into that incest shit." Ashtray assured, Neveah nodded her head making eye contact with him.
"Are you sure you're actually into me?" Neveah asked, Ashtray rolled his eyes, "Yes." He groaned.
"You my girl, we ain't exclusive but you still my girl." Ashtray wrapped his arm around Neveah as she rested her head on his shoulder, "Now stop actin like a pussy, if you jealous then tell me straight up from now on, I like that shit." He smirked.
"Of course you do." Neveah playfully rolled her eyes at him.
Fezco came out side and looked at the two, "Yo." he pulled a joint from his ear and lit it up.
"Hi." Neveah glanced over at him and smiled, "Sup." Ashtray turned over to him.
"Do any of you guys know how Bitcoin works?" Neveah hard Kat's voice but she couldn't pin point where it was coming from, she got up from Ashtrays shoulder and looked over to where Fezco was standing and saw her.
"It's a worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system." Ashtray explained to Kat.
"I literally have no clue what you're talking about." Kat frowned at him, and gave Neveah a slight smile, and she did the same.
"Well, there's no easier way to explain it." Ashtray shrugged at the girl, "Look, why don't you just tell us what you're trying to do, and we can tell you how we can help." Fezco stated as he took a hit of his joint.
"Unless it's human trafficking. I don't fuck with human trafficking." Ashtray added in, "I'm not... human trafficking." Kat frowned.
"Yeah, us, neither." Neveah shook her head, "Okay. I was just wondering if it's like, a good way to anonymously get money online." Kat asked.
"That's literally what it's made for. Dumb ass." Ashtray lightly rolled his eyes at Kat as a smile formed on her face.
Neveah and Ashtray gave each other a side eye before looking back at Kat who was smirking down at her phone.
