Neveah had ghosted Ashtray. For a few days after the carnival he tried to talk to Neveah but she didn't respond, and eventually he just stopped trying.
Neveah ended up cutting off Rue completely because she didn't like her new bitchy personality and the way she started treating her.
The only people Neveah chose to spend time with were Maddy and Lexi. Since she didn't hangout with Ash anymore she devoted most of her free time to them.
The carnival was a few weeks ago and now halloween was in two weeks. Time had seemed to being going super fast to Neveah and she didn't like it.
Neveah sat in her bed, scrolling through shein on her laptop. Her father was out of town for the weekend and she wasn't grounded anymore, but she chose to stay home this friday night.
There was a honk outside, Neveah frowned and ignored it, but there was a few more after that. Neveah began to get annoyed because the honking continued.
She got up from her bed and walked over to her window, looking outside. Ashtray was in his car parked in front of her house.
Neveah rolled her eyes and started to close her curtains, but stopped when Ashtray started honking again, "Can you like not?!" she shouted at him.
"Not till you get in the car." Ashtray shouted back at her, with a cold expression on his face, Neveah stood there for a second debating what she wanted to do. Ashtray started honking again and Neveah quickly snapped out of her thoughts and walked away from her window.
She slipped her feet into her slides and grabbed her phone from her bed, before leaving her house and going to Ashtrays car.
She got into the passenger seat, and sat there staring out the window with her arms crossed, as he drove.
After a few minutes of driving, Ashtray parked the car, and got out. They were at a park. Ashtray had a bag in his hands. He walked over to a grass field and sat down, Neveah did the same, "I'm sorry." Ashtray let out.
"I shoulda been honest wit you about Heather. I fucked up." Ashtray took a breath, "Yeah, you did." Neveah gave him a side eye.
"Heather's my ex girl, she was my first love. She ended up doin me hella dirty but I always went back to her over and over again. But then she moved and we stopped talkin." he began, "But then a few weeks ago she followed me and started likin my posts an shit, tryna ease her way back in I guess. I just folded and I didn't wanna hurt you."
"You didn't wanna hurt me but you knew you still had feelings for her so instead of you just telling me instead of pretending that you liked me you just led me to think I meant something to you then I had to find out from her that you went behind my back?" Neveah frowned at the boy as she began to tear up.
"There wasn't a a moment that I didn't have feelings for you. I had em and I still do, but Heather just knows how to fuck wit people. At the carnival she kept tryna get all over me, at first I gave in but then I started thinking about you and I cussed her out, which pissed her off then you came over there and she said all that shit." Ashtray explained.
"Then whyd she say you never broke up? And that you hit her up?" Neveah inquired, "Cus she's just like that I don't know, but I swear to you that ain't true. And after the carnival I cut her off completely."
"Why?" Neveah frowned, "Cus of you V, I don't want her or any other bitches, I want you." he looked down at Neveah.
Neveah quickly looked up at Ashtray and didn't say anything, instead she just grabbed his face and started kissing him.
Ashtray widened his eyes and started kissing her back, He kissed her softly, tenderly, but she didn't want softness now, not after all this time.
She clenched her fists in his shirt and tugged him closer to her. He murmured softly, low in his throat, and then his arms encircled her, pulling her against him, and they turned over on the grass, still kissing as Neveah got on his lap with her legs around his waist.
