"Did you get my point?" Asked Bob. "Yes. I get it." I replied in a sleepy mood. Bob is my teacher. He comes every morning at my mansion to teach me.
My father, Jason Anderson is the richest guy in the city. But he has always hidden me from the world. He doesn't even let me go to school. Nor does he let me go out of the mansion. Thats why I have a teacher at home.
"Okay then. Do you have any other questions to solve in Algebra?" Asked Bob. "No." I said. "Then I'll leave today." He said. "Okay." I said.
Bob is not only my teacher but my only friend I have. Apart from my cousin Elliot. He has been my teacher since I was six years old. "Bob can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Go on." He said while packing his bag."How is the world?" I asked.
"Sorry? I didn't get you." Replied Bob.
"I'm talking about the world outside this mansion." I said. I run my fingers throw my hair. "Lilith I am sorry." He said."Don't be. Just tell me why my father never let's me go out of the house. Why does he hate me? And why do I have to stay hidden from the whole world?" I asked.
"I don't know. When I was hired to tutor you, I did ask your father that why he never let you go out and make you study in a school." He said.
He takes a deep breath.
"He told me that there is danger. Danger for you. Thats all. But I knew it wasn't just danger. Because he hates you. Honestly." He said.
"Thanks." Is all I can say. After Bob leaves. I take a walk in the garden. My cousin, Elliot is watering the flowers. He has a thing towards nature.
"Hey sis." Said Elliot. "Hey. Your water the flower plants at 11 in the morning? Don't you have school today?" I asked. "It Sunday. Schools stay closed at Sunday." He replied. I feel a shiver of shame across my body. I didn't know that because I was never allowed to go to school. Its not my fault.
"Oh. I didn't know that." I said.
"Well, we better go to the entertainment room now. Uncle Jason will be on TV, well its nothing new but I like his speeches and I don't want to miss them." He said.
He then rushes towards the entertainment room. I follow him. He then turns on the huge flat screen TV which covers almost the whole wall.
The TV is on. Father is having an interview on a famous talk show. Jack Dom is the host. I sit down on the couch alongside Elliot. Dad is wearing a black Tuxedo. And trust me, he is looking quiet smoking.
Its quiet strange, my father is only 39 years of age. I am now 15. My mother died after giving birth to me. My dad could have moved on. He could have married another women. But he didn't. And every time I asked him something about mom or why he hates me, he scream the world at me.
"So Mr. Anderson, you are a sensation. Is there any secret for your success?" Asked Jack. "Yes. My wife Lindsay. She passed 15 years ago. After he death I made a decision that I had to do something that would make her proud. Till now, I think I have done it." Said Dad.
"You sure have. Anyways, tell us something about your family." Said Jack. "I live with my younger sister, Natalia and her son Elliot." Answered Dad. "You don't have any kids. Right?" Asked Jack. That's when he heart starts to run like a cheetah. Yes. He might tell something about me. Please. Please.
"No. I am childless." Said father. Thats it. My heart freezes. My throat dries up. Tears fill my eyes. I can't breathe. Soon the tears run down. I can't stay in that room. I need some fresh air. I run out of the room. Sobbing. Elliot starts to chase me.
"Lilith!" I hear him shout. But I don't care. I run to the terrace. There is a heliplot at the terrace. I go and sit on the letter written H on the heliplot. After a few minutes Elliot finally catches me.
"Hey." Said Elliot. I rub the tears from my face with the sleeve of my shirt. "What is it?" I asked him irritatingly. "Nothing." He said.
He then sits beside me. For a few minutes, none of us speak. But then I break the silence."What happened then?" I asked. "Uncle said that I am capable of running his Business Empire. And that I am the only and the most deserved heir of his Empire." He said.
"That's good." I said. Elliot is deserving. After his parents got divorced he started to stay with us. Anderson. he followed the name his mother had. He deserves all of it. Because he is a person to appreciate. No arrogance. No ego. No faults."You aren't sad at his thoughts of him making me..." I know what he is trying to say. I am not jealous. I never was. All I wanted was a normal life. A loving family. Not money or power. I want to be famous. Not because of my father, but because of my own capability. I am an Underdog. I know that.
"I am. But on the fact that he thinks that he is childless. I would have made him proud. Only if he ever let me do that. He wants to hide me from the world. Let him. Why does he not consider me as his daughter? I want to know the reason of his hatred towards me." I answered.
"I just hope you get your answers." Said Elliot.
"Another thing." I said.
"What?" He asked."Just kick me out of the house when you become the CEO. I seriously wanna get out of here." I said laughing.
