I run. Run faster.
And guess what? I was the first one to reach the pizza shop.I swing the open and run inside.
"Wa..it.." Said Hank, he is panting now. Even I'm panting.I notice that the people sitting are staring at us. Weirdly.
Hank brushes in.
"Umm.." Hank notices that the staring is making me uncomfortable."You kids are back now?!" Finn shouts at us. I bet we are late. I look at my wristwatch. Shit! Its 6:15pm! We're late.
Finn gives me a glare, "Just don't get spoilt by my son."He then hands us over two boxes containing pizzas. And hands us the address for delivery.
"Now get out."Me and Hank exchange a look. The next thing: we are on our way to the house from which they ordered the pizzas.
Finn handed me a paper in which the address was written. In a very bad handwriting. Honestly."Umm.. You don't seem like the other girls actually." Said Hank. At first he hesitates to say it.
It strucks me. He's right. I'm not like other girls. I have reasons not to be like them. To other girls, my life is lifeless. Well Hank obviously means that I'm not into girly stuffs like flirting with him.
"I'm not. Now you know." I said in an irritated mood. Why shouldn't I?
We reach the house. Hank rings the doorbell. I even place a knock on the door but no one opens it.
Weird.
"I think we should check from the window." I said. Hank nods. He leans towards the window on the other side and takes a few glances.
"I see a dude sleeping in his couch." Said Hank.
"Let me see." I take a look. He's right. Wait. I know him. I know this guy. His face is very familiar. But who?
Hank goes to the door and this time he rings the doorbell plenty of times. I watch through the window as the man jumps out of his sleep to open the door.
I stand beside Hank at the door.
The doorknob turns. There is the man.
I have a very storng feeling that I know him. I've seen him. Somewhere. I guess. Before he can say anything, Hank speaks, "Sorry sir but you weren't opening the door."
"Ohh. Sorry I slept in." He replied.
"Here is your pizza." I hand it over to him.
"Wait I'll bring the money." He says and goes inside to fetch money.I lean in to take a look at the house for my interest. And what I see on the walls have cleared my confusion.
The man comes and hands me over the money. I notice his face clearly now.
He has most of the physical appearance Elliot has.I saw an article cut out from a youth magazine about Elliot hanging in his walls.
He is Elliot's father.
