Chapter 15.

I started to go to work the very next day. My job was to sit beside Hank at the counter and help him with whatever he needs.
Finn said that he will make me delivery pizzas too.

I reached on time at work. Hank had given me a T-shirt with the store's monogram on it and my very own name tag and asked me to wear it.

I did.

Hank is already at the counter. There is a seat beside him. For me. I go sit beside him.

He looks at me and gives me a smile. I smile back.

"Good to see you." Said Hank.
"Good to see you too." I replied.
"Well, dad told me about you. I must admit, you are brave." He said.

I say nothing. I just smile at him. It doesn't make me fell any better. I feel that they always show me sympathy. But its not always like that. But when Finn said that I'm brave, it made me feel confident.

"Hey I got something for you." Said Hank opening the drawer of the counter and pulling out a cap. He hands it over to me.
"Thanks." I said.
"No worries. If you need anything, just let me know." Said Hank.

The cap has Peter's pizzas logo on it. Cool, I thought.

I had tied up my hair before coming here so that I won't be a disturbance. I wear the cap.

"Its your first day so let me tell you how this place works." Said Hank.

"When people come, take the order. I'll take it to the cooks. When I am back from the kitchen you take the orders to them to the customers on their seats. After 6pm we'll start the home deliveries." Said Hank.

"Okay."

Customers start to come. Me and Hank make a good pair. He said that our teamwork is impressive. The whole day passes. Customers come, pay, eat and leave.

When its around 5:30pm Hank reminds me that we have to do deliveries.

"Lilith, let's take a break. After half an hour we'll start the deliveries."

"As you say."

Both of us walk out of the store.
"Let's go have some ice-creams." He said.
"Umm.. Okay, there is a ice-cream store near my house. Lets go there." I said.
"Okay." Replied Hank.

When we reach at the ice cream store, Hank orders two cone ice-creams.

He hands one to me. I take a bite. How stupid of me. My teeth starts to shiver.
"Oww!" I said.
"You don't have strong teeth." Said Hank laughing at me.
I start to laugh too.

We are apparently standing outside the store. Eating. Then a black car stops and guess who comes out?

Jake Sheldon.

"Damn it!" I whisper silently. Turning my face away at the opposite direction.

Hank gets confused and starts asking me questions. I hate questions. "Why did you turn around? Hey Lil..." I grab his shirt a pull towards him closer to me. I dig my face in his shirt.
"Woaa!" Said Hank.

I keep my face hidden until Jake enters the store.

"What was that for?" Asked Hank with a smirk on his adorably cute face.

"I'll tell you later. Let's go from here now." I said.

We leave the place as soon as possible. I just hope Jake hasn't seen me.

We start to walk for the Peter's Pizzas.
On the way Hank asks, "Now may I know why you did this?" Pointing his finger on the lower part of his shirt where there is an ice-cream stain. The shirt must have gotten stained when I got too touchy with Hank.

"Well... I needed to hide from someone. That's all." I said.

"That's all?" Asked Hank in confusion. He must have thought of something else.

"Yes. Just in a friendly manner." I said.
"You got me on that." Said Hank.

And I clearly know what he meant. What a flirting! Jeez!

"We are getting late for deliveries!" I said.
"Let's do a race of who reaches the fastest to the store." Said Hank.

"If you say soooo!!!" And I start running.
