2 days passed. Elliot finally found out where my mom studied.

Canvas College. My father studied there too.

There has been a strange feeling inside for the past couple of days. Whoever I meet, he or she thinks that Elliot is my brother.

Jake also told me the other day that me and Elliot have a lot in common.
How can he be my own brother? My brother is dead. Elliot can't be him.

These thoughts wander my mind the whole day until we leave for Canvas college.

We hire a taxi to there. Me and Elliot sit on the back together.
He has changed his getup completely.
Wearing a wig and hipster glasses.

"Why did you put these on?"

"Otherwise they would recognize me. I'm always on the youth magazine covers."

"I see."

"That should be general knowledge for you Lily." Said Elliot smirking.

Lily. That's what he used to call me when we were kids.

I remember him teasing me that I grow in the little lake in the back of the Anderson mansion.

Elliot was born in England. But he struggled pronouncing fancy names.

"General knowledge? Like you have a lot of GK." I said.
"Of course I do. You don't."

"I do. Listen... In the UAE, if you rape a girl then they cut your manhood off." I said laughing.

Elliot's facial expression changes. "That is so unfair. For a guy." He said.
"No it is."
"How is that?"

"Look, you pant it in the wrong places by breaking the law, it gets cut off."

Elliot doesn't speak. He has given up. Good for him.

*-*-*

"Where almost here." Said Elliot as I am getting out of the cab.
I don't know but I have a really weird feeling that its not my day today.

I feel insecure. Not for me. But...
Insecure. Which I never was. Or will be.

We take the footway.
Elliot walks on the side of the road.
For a few minutes we don't talk. Then he breaks the silence, "I should have called Karen. He would have enjoyed a lot."
I laugh. Poor Jake. Karen is a girl's name.

"Why is that?" I asked.

"Come on. You've grown up now. Stop acting so innocent. I know you like him." He said smirking.

What nonsense.

"You.." By saying this I place my hands on his shoulder and push him hard.

He starts to fall but then a car hits him.
He falls on the road.

I freeze.

Blood starts to run down his face. People start to run towards him.

Elliot got hit. Because I pushed him.

The throat starts to burn. I can't speak. I can't scream. I can't help him. I am helpless.

The man who was driving the car comes out of the car.

"You were with him. Right? Let's take him to the hospital. I am sorry."

I don't speak.

Its not his fault. Its my fault. I should be saying sorry.

I'm sorry, Elliot.
