Its been a few days since father came back. Elliot comes to my room everyday to watch movies. I know him very well. Even he feels sad for me. He just wants to cheer me up. That's all. After all he is my brother.

Today also he came in to watch a movie with me.

"What movie do you want to watch today?" I asked. Running my fingers through my hair to fix any loose strands.
"Forget about the movie. I bought a book for you." He said holding the book to me. Thank God at least I am allowed to read books.
"Well thanks." Is all I can say. I take a look at the book. It has a pretty cover. Its named 'The Truth'. Sounds interesting.

I sit on my bed. Start to read the description at the back of the book. The plot is about a boy who has a urge to search for the truth about his life that has been kept hidden from him.

"Its interesting." I say to Elliot. "I didn't give you this book so that you would just read it." He said.

What? I am confused now.

"Sorry, I didn't get you." I said with a confused expression on my face. "I knew you wouldn't. After all your not smart enough." Said Elliot.

Is this why he gave me the book? Just to taunt me because I am home schooled. I don't say anything. I just hit him hard on his shoulder.

"Ouch! What was that for?!" Asked Elliot.
"That's for taunting me." I answered.
"I wasn't taunting you. I gave this book for a reason you idiot." He said.
"And may I know the reason please my dear brother?" I asked with an attitude.

He sits next to me on the bed. His hands resting on his lap. He breathes out. For the first time I can feel that he is tensed and serious about something.
"Your not the only one in the world." He said.

"There are people who have secrets they don't know themselves. All they have to do is wait for the right time, the right moment to explore it. That's how the world works." Said Elliot.

Nah! He is right. I am an idiot. I still didn't get him. I keep my mouth shut so that I don't have to be embarrassed again. I let him do all the talking.

"This book tells that how hard the situation is, if we try then we can do whatever we want. The boy in the book came to know the truth after so many circumstances. All because he had strength." Said Elliot.

Strength. I thought.

"I want to be like him. I want you to be like him. I want to know the reason why my parents split." He said.
"You want to know why you are trapped in this heaven sized mansion. You want to know why uncle Jason hates you. Even I want to know a few things about my parents. After all, I never got to see my dad after my parents split." Said Elliot.

As far as I heard, the servants were once speaking of his dad. I overheard their conversation. They were saying that aunt Natalia and Uncle Marcus split because uncle Marcus had committed a disgusting crime. Probably he had an affair. But I won't tell this to Elliot. He will get upset.

"I get it now. You want both of us to find our secrets. I'll help you. I promise." I said.
"I knew you would say that." He says and then gives me a tight hug. Elliot might be my cousin but I always felt that he was my own brother. I mean the feeling you have when your with your own brother.

He let's go of me very soon. His eyes are almost red. He must have sobbed when he hugged me. "What is it? Why did you sob?" I asked. "Nothing. Its just that... Thank you." He said.

No. Thank you Elliot. You gave me hope. You gave the strength to find the truth. You encouraged me to know the answers of the questions I never got a chance to even ask.

Thank you.
