When the rest of the girls walked up to Janette, they saw that most of the chocolates were removed from the carved-pumpkin basket. Janette pointed to inside of the carved-pumpkin basket, so everyone looked inside it to see a book. Not any book, but the book "The Ghost Girl".

"What the?!" Rosé almost yelled.

"Any problem kids?" Janette's mom yelled from the kitchen.

"No mom! Just jumpscares, hahah-" Janette yelled back, to which the rest of the girls narrowed their eyes at her.

"How on earth did it end up here?!" A confused Rosé asked.

"Like we know," Jennie replied.

"Wait. Do you all remember the ghost figure we saw at the party?" Jisoo spoke up, to which the girls exchanged glances.

"Of course! It must be....her, Rosaria!" Lisa said, hesitantly.

"Speaking of which," Janette said, picking up the book, "I had a dream, and a person in the dream said that Rosaria will haunt us only if we have this book with us," She continued, dusting the book.

"What if we burn it?" Jennie asked, a little proud of herself.

"Don't you watch horror movies? Maybe Rosaria will attack you when you try to hurt her or the book!" Rosé mentioned.

"Riiight, and this is a horror movie or novel," Janette replied, rolling her eyes.

"We're not burning this book, or stabbing it from frustration, for safety measures," Lisa announced, after narrowing her eyes at Janette, and giving her a "Shut up" look.  "And that's it." Lisa continued, cutting of Jennie who tried to speak.

They all sighed knowing they had to deal with it no matter what.

"By the way my sweet little angels," Janette started breaking the silence, grinning her best smile. "Tomorrow is November 1st," She looked at all of them, expecting an answer.

"So?" Jennie asked, raising a brow.

"Uhh... It's a special day!" Janette replied, looking a little tensed. The girls have raised their brows at her.

"Oh, isn't it All Saints' Day?" Rosé said, looking her phone.

"Yes but, don't you all remember?" Janette asked.

"Remember what?" Jennie questioned.

"By the way, I'll go. I've got stuff to study," Rosé said, looking at her watch.

"What are you gonna study, huh?" Janette asked, squiting and placing her hands on her hip. "The teacher didn't give us a test, we don't have a dictation or something, we don't even have a competition! There's a lot of time for exams!" Janette said, counting on her fingers.

"I'm just studying." Rosé said after letting out a sigh.

About an hour later, Janette was lying on her bed, moonlight entered her room from the window next to her. She hugged her pillow as she laid sideways.

'No, they obviously didn't forget about my birthday. They're just acting like they forgot about my birthday to plan a surprise.' Janette thought.

Though, she wasn't too sure about this point. She decided to go downstairs and observe what Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo were doing, so she could get a clue about their plans.

She sneaked downstairs and placed her ear on the door of Lisa and Jennie's room. "Janette?! Did you hear our conversation? I mean eavesdrop? You know it's rude to do that, right?"  Lisa's words replayed in Janette's head.

"Ughhhhh! Why you?" Janette whispered.

"Is someone there?" Janette heard Lisa's voice, and ran back to her room.

Janette was lost in thoughts, but it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.

On the other side, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo were planning a surprise for Janette's birthday. There was no way they'd forget her birthday, could they?

They had plans prepared — the decorations that Janette would adore, a cake of her favourite flavour. And gifts of course. Gifts were Janette's most favourite part of her birthday. Ever since she was five, on her birthday, she'd always run to the gifts whenever she had the chance. So, each of them decided to buy a separate gift for her.

"I borrowed the decorations," Jennie said, ticking "Decorations" off a list.

"The cake was made by mom," Jisoo exclaimed, sitting next to Jennie.

"And all the gifts are ready, all wrapped." Lisa said.

Jennie ticked all of the points in the list and smiled at the other two, and they decided to head to bed.

"Is someone there?" Lisa asked, as she heard a weird sound. There was no response.

"Weird," Jennie said.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. Jennie answered it, and was surprised to se Rosé.

"Is Janette awake?" Rosé whispered, to which Jennie looked back and again at Rosé.

"No, why?"

"Perfect. You thought you were going to prepare a surprise for Janette without me... huh?"

"Nothing like that-"

"Alright. Show me the things you brought"

"Uhh, okay?"

"Who is that, Jennie?" Lisa asked from her room.

"Oh, it's Rosé!" Jennie replied.

"Yeah, Hi!" Rosé said.

"Please talk silently, you're going to wake Janette up" Jisoo said, from her room, under her mattress.

"What'd you say?" Rosé asked.

"Be more silent! Janette will wake up!" Jisoo said.

"Alright, alright."

As soon as it turned 11.30, Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa woke up excitedly. 'Time to execute this plan!' Jennie thought, smirking and looking at the others.

"Jisoo, go check if Janette is asleep...or awake!" Jennie said, as Jisoo walked upstairs.

Lisa went towards the refrigerator, straight to the cake. Jennie got the decorations from the drawer under a table, and started decorating the house.

As they finished, the house looked prettier than ever. There were letter balloons which said "Happy Birthday!" hanging on the wall. The gifts were neatly stacked aside, there was a table in the middle with the cake on it, and treats, birthday hats and more accompanied it on the table.

Jisoo dusted her hands, Lisa and Jennie came to her from behind.

"This looks great!"

"I know right!"

"Though I think it would've been better if we pushed the table a little to this side"

"No, it's better now. Janette can stand right in front of the balloons saying 'Happy Birthday', which is also perfect for a birthday pic,"

"Maybe,"

"I really like the black and pink pattern we did there with the balloons,"

"I actually think it isn't that good..."

"But Janette will like it,"

"True!"

The three talked about their work.

"Well, guess you prepared a better surprise than expected!" A voice said, to which the girls turned around in shock.
