My Moon Prince ✔️

-I WAS AFRAID-

It took me a good while to properly hear the beeping in the background. My eyelids were heavy and I could not open them. It was so bright and loud around me that I panicked and only heard the beeping of the devices increase in speed until an alarm sounded. I got more and more scared and tried to draw attention to myself, but I couldn't move my body. Barely a minute later, a door slammed open and two people, talking at once, entered the room.

"She can't see anyone right now, we'll wait for her to wake up."

"It's my stepsister lying there! You're letting me through right now!" I heard Rose say. She was there.. why was rose here? What happened? "The prince is her boyfriend and my bloody future brother-in-law! You don't want to lose your damn job, do you?!"

"L-Liam..." I breathed with all the strength I had. The prince.. Liam.. he was lying in front of me bleeding. I needed to know how he was doing. I had to get up and go to him. Now I gathered all my strength and slowly opened my eyes. A lamp shone brightly on the white ceiling above me. It hurt my eyes so much I had to look away to not close them right away.

"For God's sake, Ciny!" I heard Rose again and felt my hand grab and squeeze. "You're awake!", I felt her soft skin on the back of my hand and wanted to ask her what she was doing here, what had happened, how Liam was doing and if he was awake again.

But all I got out was, "Liam..."

"Ciny everything will be fine. Liam is alive and I'm sure you'll be able to see him soon.. But you need to rest first, ok? I am here and I will stay here. You passed out on the ball and you suffered a laceration from the impact.. You were unconscious for about 12 hours.. I was really scared for you.."

Liam was alive, that was the most important thing. Is the ball right.. I remembered the ball. How we did a little tour and how- how Melody was standing with the trophy over Liam who was on the ground.. He was bleeding and he wasn't moving. "Please rest first.. everything will be fine.", I just heard and my eyes closed. I was completely exhausted, now my head hurt like hell and I couldn't breathe. I needed to see Liam.. I needed to see that he was okay. But somehow everything had gone black again.

The noises were back, but not nearly as loud as before. My body felt like my own again and I could easily open my eyes. So I took the opportunity to look around and sat up a bit. I was in a hospital room with access points attached to devices. The regular beeping came from my heartbeat and I briefly watched the picture on the small screen change constantly. Looking further I saw Rosalina sitting on the chair against the wall and she seemed to be asleep.. had she been here all along?? I can't believe I never would have believed her.
