"Hey Rose! We're back and guess who remembers?!" I called across the house, holding Liam's hand in fear that he might run away from me again. But Rose didn't answer. Instead, I got another nasty surprise when I came into the living room. Natalie and Melody were both seated on the couch and Rose was held between them. "Rose.."

"Cindy- I'm sorry-" she breathed and I could see she was crying.

"Hello Cinda. Your Majesty.." Natalie stood up and Melody held her own sister as if she were a hostage. "I'm sure you've already heard that you're suspected of hitting your beloved Liam. I've paid enough money to enough people who will stand by me and testify against you."

A gun flashed in her hand and I unhesitatingly positioned myself in front of Liam. Natalie was wearing gloves. Of course- 

"I just want my two daughters to grow up happy. A mother's heart is really strong, you know that.. I guess your mother had something like a heart of no.." I clenched my jawbone and tears welled up in my eyes. But not with grief- I was angry! "There are exactly two options. Your little prince marries my little daughter Rosalina or he dies. Your fingerprints will be everywhere, Cindy Darling. You will have to pay for the death of a prince. Maybe you can't handle it either and end it for yourself too."

"Melody hit the prince didn't he?" I asked calmly and the damn witch laughed.

"Of course she did. We don't want any witnesses if a pretty Fabergé egg goes missing. But your damn prince had to interfere!", she pointed the gun at Liam and her lips thinned into a thin line.

"Mother!" Rose yelled, jumping up. "Do not do it! Take me with you again and I know that no one will tell anything! Please!" it hurt so much to see Rose like that.

Like me, she was not welcome in this family. She was a tool..

Rose slowly walked towards her mother and then walked past her to me. Her little hands wrapped around my face while her mother yelled to get away from me. She waved this weapon so dangerously that a shot could go off at any time. "Cindy, trust me..", she whispers. 

Her mother became aggressive and then everything happened so fast that I couldn't react anymore.

My sister turned to her mother and walked towards her and tried to take the gun from her, the two started fighting and the shot was released. I immediately checked for Liam but he was fine. I hadn't gotten anything either.. my eyes fell on Rose, who was standing there and slowly turned to me.

Her white dress was slowly turning red and there was pure panic on her face. She held the wound on her stomach with her hands and fell to the ground.

"ROSE!" I yelled and Natalie dropped the gun. She stared at her daughter and I pinched her wound.

I no longer noticed what was happening around us. I cried and held Rose to me in a panic. Her hands and mine were covered in blood and her face was sweating. Her hair was stuck to her forehead and tears were streaming from her blue eyes.

Suddenly I heard sirens and a cell phone fell out of the fold of the white dress. It said 911. I looked at my sister with an incredible look and she smiled softly before her eyes closed and she breathed very weakly.

"NO! NO ROSE!" someone pulled me away strongly and I dove into the smell of sweat, blood, roses and mint.

Liam..

I was shaking and crying so loud I felt like screaming. And I was right. I screamed and thrashed until I couldn't take it anymore and collapsed internally.

I just noticed how Natalie and Melody were taken away in handcuffs and the paramedics surrounded my sister. They tried to keep her alive. Liam pulled me with him and we left the room. In the kitchen we sat down at the table and I listened to the sirens and the doctors.

After a while I heard someone say, "She's stabilized, we can go to the hospital!"My heart clenched and I jumped up.

"I have to go with you! It's my sister!'

"I'm sorry, that's not-"

"We'll go with you.", Liam came to me and looked at the chief doctor seriously until he gave in and I immediately got in to Rose.

Hours passed. I sat with Liam in the waiting area while they operated on Rose. He held my hand and prayed with me. I couldn't give her up and I never would.

"Miss Cinderella Jefferson?" a woman's voice pulled me out of my prayer and I looked up. A young policewoman stood in front of me and looked at me dejectedly. I nodded. The officer held out her ID and continued.

"Silvia Mosborn. My sincerely condolences. I just wanted to let you know that Natalie Jefferson and Melody Jefferson have been arrested as guilty and have confessed to us that they punched the prince and shot Roselina Jefferson. You are no longer a suspect and the charges against you have been dropped. However, we need to take a testimony about what happened at your house tonight with Roselina Jefferson." I nodded again. "If you feel ready and know how your sister is doing, please report to the HQ."

"Yes.. thank you.", I breathed and said goodbye to the lady. As soon as she was gone, someone else turned to us.

"Miss Jefferson and Mister Jacobs?" a doctor walked up to us and I turned around while Liam got up. "Your Majesty.."

"How is my sister?" I asked impatiently and the doctor smiled. A stone fell from my heart.

"Your sister was successfully operated on without any problems and is ready to receive visitors. It's in room 272.", as soon as he finished speaking, I ran and thundered into the room. Rose lay there and seemed to be asleep. I slowly approached her and sat on the edge. A few months ago I was lying in this bed and she was holding my hand.

"Hello Rose.. welcome back to the living.." I breathed and kissed her forehead.

"Cindy.." she whispered weakly and I looked at her with wide eyes.

"I'm here Rose.. it's all good. Natalie and Melody have been arrested and Liam is here too. You'll be fine, my angel." I managed to choke out, my voice trailing off as I started crying again. 

"Everything will be fine.. I promise."
