TAARA stared at Abeer with unsurety as he took a sip of his coffee and put the mug down. She raised her eyebrows again and adjusted herself on the seat before speaking again.

"Sorry what?" She asked. He shrugged as a small smile played on his lips.

"You heard it," he said with a shrug. She shook her head before moving her leg above the other and shifted in her seat as she watched him.

"I am not ready yet," she said. He chuckled as he moved his hand forward and put it above her in a comforting way. She clenched her fist while not liking the touch and moved her hand back before putting an awkward smile.

She put her hands on her thighs as she looked at him again. He cleared his throat while moving his hand back.

"I am not asking you to accept my proposal or marry me tomorrow, Taara. It's just my mom is in the city and wants to meet you once," he said. She sighed and shook her head slightly.

"Why did you tell her anything about me before asking me?" She asked in frustration while looking away. He kept watching her for a few moments and finally bent forward on the table.

"Tell me one thing... You said you'll think, right?" He asked and added as soon without waiting for her, "You said you are taking it in a positive way."

She sighed in frustration and nodded. "Listen, it's not easy, Rishit," she said and continued in annoyance, "Rutvi is still a kid and I need time to make her understand if I want to go ahead with you."

He chuckled lightly and nodded. "It's Abeer. Not Rishit," he said and tightened his jaw before looking down at his mug. He held it and moved to his mouth.

She looked down while feeling worst. How can she mention him? She closed her eyes briefly and looked at him again after wiping any emotions.

"Don't make it hard for me, Abeer. You left me almost a decade back. So much happened in my life in between. I fell in love, I got married, I built this company along with the man I loved, I have a daughter with him, we got separated and it was just too hard to get over that phase as I tried to make myself understand every single day that he is not around."
