TAARA put her bags in the room. She could hear the noise coming from downstairs as Rutvi told stories to her grandparents.

"Ritu, come upstairs to have a shower..." She shouted but got no response. She sighed and shook her head slightly as turned to face Nitya.

She peeked from the door. "How was the trip?" She asked. Taara rolled her eyes.

"You are a bitch," Taara said. Nitya laughed and nodded while coming further inside.

"That I am..." She said and sighed dramatically before speaking again, "You snatched my Rishit again."

Taara made a disapproving face as she laughed further. "Sometimes jealousy works better than love," She said and got settled on the bed.

Taara nodded while settling beside her. "So? It's all good now?" She asked.

Taara watched her for a few moments and shook her head. "I'm not sure."

Nitya frowned while not understanding the meaning of her words. "What do you mean?" She asked.

"I mean it's too early to say anything... He is taking efforts but I'm scared to go further. He was fine before too but things changed later," She said truthfully.

Nitya sighed and held her hand. "Taara, you can't expect things to be fine always... Every relationship would go through these sorts of ups and downs," she said in an understanding voice.

"Fine, he didn't show effort to keep you but that doesn't mean he didn't love you or cared for you," She said ahead. Taara stayed quiet while watching their hands.

"Even you know that," she said. Taara nodded.

"But that's not enough. He should have been there, he should have made attempts to stop me and he should have shown his love and care openly," she said again. Nitya chuckled.
