ROBYN FLURRIES AROUND Devin and Hunter's townhouse, so quickly that not even Devin himself can keep up with her. With the party being only a few nights away, Robyn seemed to have been kicked into high gear in terms of preparations. I wasn't sure I'd seen more streamers in my life.

"Robs, slow down!" Devin whines, reaching to touch her waist. She quickly pulls away, walking over to a table filled with glasses instead.

"We need way more glasses than this. Is this a brunch or my birthday party? People need to get wasted!" she says, running a hand through her hair.

I snort from my very comfortable position on the couch, sitting beside Hayley and Nox, Hunter perched on the chair just beside us. "Shouldn't your 23rd be more sophisticated? I thought that's what the nice glasses were for."

"Your latest birthday was spent with your head in a toilet bowl," Hayley argues, laughing softly.

Nox grins, too. "And only half of the contents coming out of you made it inside."

"Ugh!" Robyn groans, bringing a hand to her forehead. "This is gonna be a disaster, isn't it? I don't know what I'm doing. I've never thrown a party before."

This time, when Devin wraps his arm around Robyn's waist, she doesn't object. "Well, then, lucky for you, you have a boyfriend who is the king at throwing a party. Hunter and I have got this."

Hunter nods, tipping his baseball cap towards her. "We've got this shindig handled. You should just sit back and relax. I'll take care of this."

Robyn's brows furrow. "That honestly doesn't ease any of my worries."

"It's going to be great, Robs. Don't stress," I say, shooting her a small smile. I scratch the back of my neck, blushing softly. "Did, uh, did Roman RSVP?"

Robyn's lips turn up. "Why? Are you planning to hook up with him at the party, or something?"

Beside me, Hayley lets out a sigh. Nox does the same just a second after.

"No," I hiss, eyeing her warily. "It's just a question."

Hunter snorts. "You're totally still in love with him, dude. I can see it on your face."

"You can't see anything because nothing's there, Hunter."

Devin smirks widely. "Nothing, eh? You two were making eyes at each other at the club the other night, or don't you remember?"

"Roman was at the club?" Nox asks, brows furrowed. He couldn't make it that night because he was with his twin sister, Lea, instead. No wonder he was confused.

I open my mouth to speak, but Hayley takes over. "Yeah. Roman was there with a bunch of his friends and we all ran into each other." Her eyes flash to mine. "Though, you two were together before we all met on the dancefloor. Isn't that suspicious?"
