CHAPTER 12: Understanding You

Luz's Perspective

"So mom, can we find something for it?" I asked

"I don't know if we still have this kind of camera mija" My mom said, making me frown a little.

"Oh, it's alright Luz, we can just find another way to open this" My friends and I looked at each other for a moment before looking back in front of us. I saw my owl mom stop beside my mom

"Oh, hey kiddos, what's the problem?" She asked, holding some kind of junk

"Hey, owl mom, we are trying to find a battery for the camera" She looked over to the DG cam than my mom is holding before taking it

Is this a DG cam?

Yeah, you know this Owl mom? I asked, raising a brow

"Of course, I do, I have tons of these" She said, making us lit up in joy.

"Really? where are they" Gus smiled widely, barely containing his excitement

"I don't really know, Camilia cleaned all the junk things I collected so I don't really know where to find them anymore" My Owl mom said "But don't worry kiddos, I'll try and find out where those extra DG cam batteries are"

The three of us cheered, looking at each other with joy. We walked out of the owl house, talking to each other trying to guess what the camera holds.

"What do you think this camera have?" Gus asked

"Images, obviously" Willow replied, shrugging her shoulders while looking at the both of us

"Or maybe a data about secret stuffs" Gus answered with enthusiasm, making us giggle at his antics

"Well, whatever is inside the camera, it would probably be something important" I stated, staring at the DG cam I'm holding before turning back at them

We looked over to the camera while walking, with curiosity immediately engulfing us. The three of us were silent as we walk, not really caring where we are headed, just trying to find out whats inside the camera we are holding.

"Hey, wanna go to the woods? We can play hunters and prey" Gus suggested, giving a smile at us

"No, I'm not really in the mood" Willow replied

"Me neither" I answered

"I've been noticing. Gus trailed off, making us look at him with our brows raised "Ever since you two came back from the woods earlier, you have been awfully quiet around each other, did something happen?"

He was right, ever since we got back, weve been avoiding each other, well mostly Willow did.

Willow seemed weird when she picked me up from the woods and she became even more silent after we made a conversation. I'm starting to worry, if I made her mad or something. I really hate it when I'm oblivious about everything or other people's feelings that I don't even realize I'm hurting the ones I love.

Who am I kidding? I'm also being weird after I met the mint vampire girl

I don't really know why but somehow meeting her again makes me glad but kind of sad at the same time. We've been meeting in a strange way and places like all the time, but all of that mostly didn't end well.

Why does it always end up like that?

I can't help but think about the mint vampire girl, her pale skin, her golden eyes and her half tailed aquamarine hair. Looking at her makes my heart ache, it always makes me confused every time I start to see some things about her that I don't even remember having.
