Oshun waited patiently, but anxiously.
In her hands held a small gift she put together for Fred as yet another apology since he hadn't accepted her previous ones.
She really fucking hoped he would take it because... well, duh. Death.
Knowing that you'd die sooner rather than later definitely changes the way a person lives their life. Death's a deadline. Hence the word dead in deadline.
She had bought a few things at Hogsmeade to put together this gift basket. She had a small basket and she put some sweets in it with a pair of funky socks and a deck of new Quidditch collecting cards.
She decorated the basket with a few ribbons and fillers as well, adding a little 'I'm sorry for everything. I love you' note on top.
Her eyes snapped up when the door clicked.
The door pulled open and stood Fred Weasley, who looked like he just rolled out of bed five seconds ago.
His hair was tousled and his eyes were lazy with sleep. His toned body was exposed and the waistband of his pajama pants hung low, exposing his V-line.
Fred squinted at her through his bleary vision. "Oshun." His exasperated voice was thick with sleep. "It is six in the morning. Are you aware of that?"
"Oh." She did not know that. She had been up all night due to this mishap going on with him, despite her visible exhaustion.
"You look tired yourself," he pointed out, leaning drowsily against the door frame. "Go to sleep, Takahashi. You look like you're dying."
I am. "But I wanted to—"
"Go to sleep and come back later," he cut her off, and shut the door in her face.
She frowned ever so deeply and her head hung low, dropping her gaze down to her rejected apology basket.
Tears threatened to gloss over her eyes as she set the basket down in front of his door, to the side. With slumped shoulders, she turned on her heel and walked away.
But if only she'd spared a glance back, she would have seen that the handsome redhead opened the door quietly to lean against the frame of the door to simply see her again.
His eyes fell to the apology basket before looking at her walking away, a heavy-hearted expression upon his face.

"I'm going to go have a smoke." Draco rose from his seat at the table they were sitting at in the library, the table in the corner by the window.
"Okay," she said with a small smile. "Will you come back when you're done?"
"I need to talk to Dumbledore about psychiatrists for Theo," he said softly, and dipped down to kiss her forehead. "I'll find you later though, okay? We can spend time in my dorm."
"Mhm." She kept her smile on as he kissed her lips, lingering.
He gave her another kiss on her forehead before he was off. As soon as he left, her smile did too.
Draco knew she was upset about what was going on with Fred, so he never usually left her since they both sought for each other's comfort and presence.
But this time, he did leave her. It was okay because he needed to help Theodore—his best friend.
She was glad she was seated at the corner table by an open window. She had been doing homework with Draco's company until she wasn't.
Now, she just stared sadly out the window and watched the rain pour loudly. The skies were gloomy and the clouds were dark, which made the outside look darker.
