It's a day before Malayas eighteenth birthday , and she's been out shopping with Herb all day .
They woke up around seven , and he's been driving her all around the city buying her whatever she needed to make her feel beautiful on her special day
From bundles , to lashes , to nails and dresses, she's going to be completely dolled up and no matter how many times she told him she doesn't want to be extra or even tell anyone about her birthday at all , Herb refused and even went as far as to get her to call milly for advice on what to get .
Malaya was going to completely check out , and demand Herb to stop spoiling her, but he claimed to have planned some nice intimate dinner with ari and Yosohn at a fancy restaurant, and since it's family, she doesn't want to refuse . Even if it means tiring her out with all this birthday stuff .
After such an eventful evening, they made it back home and Malaya is now on her bed writing a journal entry about the recent thoughts that's been flooding her brain about the neighbors upstairs .
She hasn't talked to pooh since the incident with his brother yesterday, and that's only because she's to afraid to tell him that she understands where Von is coming from , and to give him a chance .
She hasn't even told him about the moment her and Von had after they finished arguing, but she just can't stop thinking about it .
The way he looked at her in almost a hypnotic state as she exhaled the smoke out her mouth has her stuck . He looked so shocked and intrigued at the same time .
She can't deny how attractive he is , and no matter how mean he is , she knows he feels the same way . His expressions and body language don't lie , and neither does hers .
They feel each other's energy and although they can't act on it , they both want to .
That's why Malaya decided to just stay away . She can't be around pooh without thinking of von and she can't be around von without wanting to do things to him that are so called illegal at her age .
She just doesn't have enough self control and she doesn't mind sacrificing a fun summer by cutting pooh off if that means sparing his feelings .
