It was a sunny but chilly September day in Hogwarts. The beginning of the school year was already behind them, the last of birds that stayed but were ready to go were chirping, children were murmuring in the corridors and a little further from Hogwarts the Whomping Willow has shaken off its dry yellow-brown leaves, ready for another snowy and cold winter.

Inside the castle, or as we know it, Hogwarts, behind the portrait of a fat woman who could not sing at all, sat a young girl with bushy hair and arms full of books. Hermione. She was waiting for her two friends, Harry and Ron, who seemed to forget they have a breakfast to go to and then classes to take. She was checking the clock every once in a while hoping they'll come out any minute.
In vain.
Anyway, Hermione used that opportunity to repeat the material and in the meantime forgot that she was waiting for them since she was so focused on trying to see if there're any grammar mistakes in her essay.

But Harry and Ron were still asleep as were the others in their room. The first rays of the sun broke through the curtains and fell straight into the face of Dean Thomas, a boy who was in the year with Harry and Ron

Dean was the first to get up and while looking for books he accidentally knocked over the lamp and Neville and Harry woke up.
Harry was half awake anyway, but he wanted to lie in bed for a few more minutes

"Sorry I woke you up..it wasn't on purpose" Dean apologized to the two

"Everything's fine," Neville waved him off and got off the bed. Harry noticed that Neville hadn't even changed out of his uniform as he had been studying Potions until at least two in the morning.
He wanted for once in his life to be praised by Snape for knowing something, even though Harry felt that Snape would always find some fault in Neville's answers and potions.

Harry sat on the edge of the bed and picked up his glasses. He looked at Neville's clock; 10 to 8, and last night they agreed with Hermione that they would be in the common room at 7:30 in order to go to breakfast earlier and repeat the material because they needed Hermione's help

Ron wasn't bother. He was snoring as if he was up last night studying. Hell he was. Harry only listened to him complain on how there's a lot to learn, that the professors are unfair and that he is simply not gifted like Hermione in learning quickly

Harry rolled over the bed and got up to wake Ron up

"Ron, Ron" Harry said as he shook his sleepy friend .
"Hermione's been waiting for us since 7 30,
hurry up!"

Harry quickly put on his uniform, took his wand and an old tattered book.
He couldn't find clean parchment or a quill, so he ignored it. He doesn't write in the lessons anyway. Finally, he took his wand and headed for the door reminding Ron to hurry.

Ron sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed his eyes. If you asked him, he wouldn't get up before 12.

"Just get dressed and bring what you need, and I'll go down to common room" Harry said as he opened the doors. He rubbed his eyes and remembered that he had to brush his teeth and wash his face, so he hurried to the bathroom.

"Alright" Ron mumbled.

Ron reached the table that was barely a meter away and tried to find a shirt in the pile of clothes on the chair. He finally found what he was looking for and got dressed. He couldn't find the bag, so he put a potions book and a piece of parchment under his arm, and he would ask someone for the quill eventually. Then he also went to the bathroom

"I wonder if my homework's good enough for Snape's demanding grading system." he thought as he brushed his teeth and in that moment Ron opened the doors, still very unaware he's awake.

"Did you do your homework?" Harry said with a mouth full of toothpaste

"Bloody hell, I just got up" Ron had completely forgotten about the assignment but thought he'd ask Hermione to help him write if he had time.
