Don't Know

This poem is meant to speak to two different people. The first, third, and fifth stanzas speak to an old friend who cut off our friendship and is still very cold towards me. The second, fourth, and sixth stanzas speak to a friend who I have not seen or spoken to in the years since she moved, but still miss dearly.

Don't Know
-[- C - L -]-

Don't know if I should hate you,
Don't know if I should care.
Don't know if I should miss you,
Don't know if you're still there.

Don't know if you are longing,
The same way that I do.
Don't know if you are breaking,
Or if your heart is true.

Don't know who you've become now,
And don't know who I'll be.
Don't know what to believe now,
Don't know if you miss me.

Don't know if you're still list'ning,
And don't know if you still cry.
Don't know if I should bear this and
Don't know why I should try.

Don't know if you are stronger,
Than what you seemed before.
Don't know if you are open,
Or if you've locked that door.

Don't know if you are lonely,
Or if your heart is cracked.
Don't know if you still know me,
Or if I'll get you back.
