You Say

This poem was written for a person who abandoned me when I needed her most and claimed it was my fault. I couldn't believe what she did, and it hurt so much.

You Say
-[- C - L -]-

You say I've hurt you,
But don't tell me how.
And I don't know
What to tell you now.

You never told me,
Never said a word.
Though maybe you did,
And I just never heard.

There's so much I wish,
That I could change.
But you're too far,
Out of my range.

You don't seem like,
You really care.
Still I miss you,
Is that really fair?

Please just tell me,
Why you hate me so.
You really matter,
But don't seem to know.

Those words I said,
Weren't meant to offend.
But now I see that,
Our friendship won't mend.

You say I've hurt you,
But don't tell me how.
And I don't know
What to tell you now.
