Super magic love: Calzona

Arizona

I drifted off to sleep as callie caressed me and whispered in my ear. My heart rate that had been climbing began to make its descent into a normal range. Cotton candy swirled round and round my head. I smelt sugar and heard circus music.
I was back.
With tommy.
I hadn't seen my brother in my dreams since about after a year after he passed. He looked- about 9 years old. I must've been 16, then. We were at the a fair in the park near our house. We went there every summer.
"Zona!" Tommy yelled "Zona! Let's go! Let's go!"
"Tommy, where do you want to go?" I asked, aggravated that I had to take him on my day off of school.
Tommy's eyes lit up "to the carousal!"
I sighed. "Alright," I said "one time, and then we're going to go play carnival games. Ok?" Tommy giggled. "Ok Zona!"
we walked to the carousal and got in the never ending line. "Arizona?" Tom asked. "Yes?" "Are you coming on with me?" I sighed and said "tommy, dear, you know I can't. I'll get sick!" He frowned. "Ok Zona. I understand." I instantly felt bad. "I'm sorry Tommy." Tommy looked up and me and smiled. "It's ok. It makes you sick. You don't need to do it. I understand." Such a good kid, my brother.
We got to the front of the line, and I hand the attendant the $3 for his ride. He started to walk towards a brightly colored horse, the turned around and ran towards me, enveloping me in a hug. "I love you Zona." My heart melted. "I love you too. Tommy. Now, go have some fun! I'll be right here when the ride is over." He ran through the gate, towards the horse. The cheerful music started up, and the carousal began to turn. I saw tommy come around, and he waved. "Zona! This is so fun!" I smiled. He was so sweet and innocent.
Then, the carousal spun faster. And faster. All the kids began to scream, as they struggled to hold on. Tommy started to cry. It kept spinning. The attendant was gone, so I headed to the switchboard. It was gone! I could do anything! Tommy let go for a second to adjust his shirt, but he flew off. He landed on the grass. Hard. I screamed a scream of terror and ran towards the gate, trying to unlock it. It wouldn't budge. By the time I had run around the carousal and got to where tommy landed, he was still. No longer struggling. I kneeled down to his level, and whispered "I love you, too tommy." And then he was gone; vanished.

I woke up with a start, screaming.
