Chapter Twelve
You Need to see this

3rd Person POV

Thena, the next morning woke up and did what she did everyday. She sat on her phone staring at the text from the hawk person but she couldn't figure it out. She hated this, she had always hated this. She walked to school and was met with Elisia pulling her arm

"you need to see this" Elisia said and she dragged her to the bathroom as they walked in and into the big stall. Elisia pulled her shirt up and showed her the bruise that was forming

"Jesus Elisia what happened?" She whispered as she traced her finger over the bruise and Elisia whimpered

"the zoo, I went to the grotto to find ash and he wasn't there but some person that goes by rabbit rabbit was there and he did this" Elisia said and Thena sighed

"I got a text from someone of hauntedhawk told me they were always watching and sent me a picture of my house" she said softly and Elisia sighed as she put her shirt back on

"this is bigger than us now" she said and Thena nodded sadly

"hasn't it always been?" She asked and Elisia nodded as the bell rang

"I have to get to class, be safe" Elisia said and she walked out of the stall. Thena pulled up the text from Brandon and found his houses address. She ditched school and walked to his house knocking , he opened the door shirtless

"Thena madden this is a surprise" he said and she sighed shaking her head

"Let's just get this over with" she said and he opened the door letting her into the house. She followed him to his room studying the tattoo on his side

"you're staring" he said softly and she scoffed

"how can I not?" She whispered and he shook his head a smile coming onto his face

"I know I'm beautiful" he said and she looked at his hand

"What happened?" She asked pointing to the redness and dried blood on his knuckles

"you care?" He asked and she sighed

"Brandon what happened?" She asked pushing it slightly

"nothing you have to worry about" he said and she nodded

"this fell out of your backpack. New clipping in it, Dunbar. The guy who killed himself in front of me and rowan. Why do you have that b?" She asked and he shrugged

"I went to camp with him when I was little" he said and thena nodded as she looked around

"hey Brandon?" She whispered and he nodded

"what's up Thena?" He asked and she made eye contact

" The night that everything happened you told me that Dunbar had stood up for you but you didn't do the same for him you didn't stand up for him you just stood there laughing I have the video Brandon why do you just stand there?" Thena asked as she showed him the video

" There's a knife to his neck Thena I'm a bad guy what does that surprise you youve said it yourself" he said getting in her face

"and I guess I was right" she said as she grabbed her backpack and walked out of her room

"thena wait" he called and she shook her head as she continued to walk ohr

"no you're right, this was a bad idea, I'm leaving" she said and she headed out of his house. She got on her bike and she rode it home. She walked through through the front door and there stood her mother

"you're home early" her mother said and she nodded

"I know I'm sorry" she exclaimed and katana nodded

"you're okay lovely" katana said and she let her arms wrap around  her daughter. Her mothers black hair ran across the top of forehead as she kissed it and she held her closely. Thena watched the tv closely and she fell asleep in her mothers arms. Two hours later she was awoken alone on the couch with a blanket over her and the t.v still on. She sat up and looked around , she saw that it was 10:30 pm

Her mother wasn't with her. She heard a noise and looked out of the living room window seeing someone standing there. She stood up and looked at her phone

"wouldn't want Brandon to find out would you?" The text read and she read it in confusion , the person walked away and she looked at her phone to see a picture of her breaking into Sean's locker

"shit" she whispered and she fell back on the couch. It had gotten worse , much worse
