3rd Person POV
thena woke up the next morning and she looked down at fishy on her chest. She stared down at the frog on her chest
"hey fishy" she whispered down at him and she picked him up as she looked up at him and sighed
"you're missing your dad aren't you? me too" she asked and she put him back down on her chest. she got a text from elisia and she grabbed her phone as she looked at her phone and she sat up
'zoe's king cobra and she locked me in a room with snakes' she read the text and she called elisia
"are you okay?" was the first thing she asked and she heard elisia sigh
"no i'm not, it was horrifying and hailey ran away to california" Elisia said and thena ran a hand through her hair
"this never ends does it?" she said and elisia sighed
"obviously not, thena are you okay?" elisia asked
"is it bad to miss him? he's an asshole and i want to hate him but i just miss him, el. he made me feel seen, he made it easier"
"thena he started this" Elisia said
"i know but he tried to stop it" she said
"i have to go thena but to answer your question, it's not bad to miss him but don't miss him too much"
"thanks el, bye" she said and she ended the call as she looked back down at her chest, she looked back at fishy and she put him down next to piggy and then her phone rang
"hello?" she asked and she heard someone draw in a breathe
"thena" she heard and she sighed
"brandon" she said softly and he sighed and she sighed with him
"i miss you" he exclaimed
"what happened b?" she asked and she heard him sigh
"it's my birthday and i got my ass beat" He said and she heard him brain in pain
"one, happy birthday. two, are you okay?" she asked worriedly
"honestly no thena, my jaw hurts like a son of a bitch" he said
"i'm sorry b" she said and he sigh
"it's okay thena, i do miss you though" he said and she smiled softly
"i'm still mad at you, you know that right?" she said
"of course i know thena but i'll make it better as soon as i come back" he said
"good , by the way fishy and piggy have a love story now" she said and he chuckled
"oh do they?" he asked
"yeah , they cuddle on my bed every night" She said and he laughed
"you kept him?" he questioned
"of course i did , he's my son now" she said with a giggle
"oh so you're his mom?" he asked
"something like that but you're his dad so" she said
"divorced parents, we share him . we need a custody agreement though" he said and she laughed at his words
"oh definitely" she said and she heard the noise of the call ending
"thena i have to go but please be safe. i'll make this better" he said and she nodded
"and the same to you b"she said and the call ended as she fell back onto her bed .
7 pm at night she gets a text from rowan and she gets her phone to see something about zoe's house and she responded instantly
"i'll be there" she responded and she finally got out of bed. she got dressed and she snuck out of her window and onto her bike, she rode to rowan's house and parked her bike
"rowan" she called and rowan turned to her
"thena thank god you're here" Rowan said and thena got off her bike as she walked over and hugged rowan
"what are we doing here?" thena asked looking around in confusion
"we need to get to the bottom of this" rowan said and thena agreed. they looked at the doorbell and rung it but no one answered
' im at your house' rowan texted zoe but she didn't get a response. so rowan grabbed thenas hand and they walked around to the back of the house
"is this really the best idea?" thena whispered
"no but it's the only idea i've got" Rowan said
"well at least you're honest" Thena said and they stopped at the corner of the house seeing someone in a shadow mask. he turned to them after he heard gasp and thena swung on him and punched in the face but then she ran after rowan
"what the hell?" she asked and rowan whimpered
" i don't know but at least we know he's one of them" Rowan said and she wrapped her arms around thena as she hugged her and thena hugged her back
at least they had each other
