Chapter Twenty-Four
I missed you B

3rd Person POV

thena and brandon sat on the roof for the next two hours just talking until she got a text and pulled her head for brandon's shoulder as he looked down at her phone with her

"who is it?" he whispered and she opened her messages

'thena help' she read and she looked at brandon

"it's rowan , i have to go" she said and he nodded as he kissed her forehead and she got off the roof. she got to rowan's house and waited

'false alarm' rowan texted back and she went home. the next morning she woke up and got dressed and then she got on her bike and she started to ride it to school

"thena" she heard and she turned to see brandon not far behind her. she got off her bike and walked next to him

"are you okay?" he asked and she nodded

"yeah just some stuff, i missed you b" she said to him as he stopped her walking and hugged her. she was taken aback but she hugged him back quickly

"i missed you too" he said and she agreed as they pulled away and he looked into her eyes and she looked into his. she watched his eyes drift down to her lips and back up

"brandon?"

" hmm?" he whispered

"we have to go" she stated

"okay" he said but he stilled continued to stare at her lips until she grabbed his hand and he looked up at her

"let's go" she said and he smiled as they walked away together and to the school , that was until rowan pulled her away from brandon

"Ro!" she said as rowan dragged her away

"what are you doing with him?" rowan asked her and thena shrugged her hand off of her

"we've been talking ro-ro, i know what i'm doing"

"do you?" rowan asked and she sighed

"yes rowan please just trust me" she tried

" i do trust you, i just don't trust him" Rowan said and Thena sighed as she walked to class

she spent the rest of the day in classes until the end of the day when brandon texted her

'god i'm happy i like you and not prep girls' the text read and she blushed at it

'yeah? you meet some preppy?' she replied

'yeah doing some research for you and me, they're kind of rude' he stated

'oh i know but at least you have me' she flirted

'that i do' he said and she smiled at her text as she walked to her bike and got on it

'also i maybe spent some time this morning making you a playlist so here it is' a new text came in from him

'aww b that's so sweet' she replied

' you love me'

'bye brandon' she exclaimed

'YOU DIDNT DENT IT, WERE TALKING ABOUT THIS LATER' he tried and she chuckled as she put her headphones in and started the playlist, she blushed at song playing as she rode home

she got home and walked through the front door seeing her mom and dad at the table

"hey?" she said questionably

"i thought we talked about this whole therapy thing thena may" roe said and she sighed

" i just.. it's school and everything. i'm okay though i don't think i need therapy" she said as she sat down at the table

"saw the grades, they're getting better" Katana said and thena smiled at her

"i'm trying mom really"

"i know honey and that's good , thank you for trying. it's better than nothing and i'm happy you're getting better just remember to not close yourself off" her mom said and she stood up as she wrapped her mom in her arms and she held her mom close to her

"thanks mom, i'm going to my room homework" she exclaimed and she walked up to her room. she closed her door and she landed on her bed

she got out of her homework and she started to work on it until she got a text from brandon

'okay so we have to talk about what happened earlier' his text stated and she got a call from him

"brandon darrow, to what do i owe the pleasure?" she asked as she finished her math homework and took a picture of it. she started her other homework

"are you doing homework?" he asked her and she leaned her phone against her laptop so he could see her

"yeah what's up?" she continued

"earlier, you didn't deny loving me. what's up with that?" he asked and she shrugged

"i like you b, but i don't love you" she said and she watched him fist pump the air

"ITS A START, ILL TAKE LIKE IM OKAY WITH LIKE" he said and she smiled

"good to know b, anything else?" she said

"okay so..." he started and she let him talk as she listened to him rant about everything and anything

she giggled at most of the things he said, he was funny and he was brandon so it was okay

they stayed up the whole night again but she finished all of her homework

he helped , brandon helped
