Steve/Captain America x male reader

Steve POV

I was walking to my apartment and saw a person, sleeping on the floor. They were wearing an army uniform I walk slowly to them. "Hi I'm Steve do you need a place to stay?" I try to shake him a little and he stays asleep, that's when I notice he was bleeding.

Not knowing what to do I pick him up and take him inside. I take his shirt off and see that he was beat up badly. Then I look at how bad it looked I went to go get the first aid kit. I sit there and get some gloves out seeing he had a deep cut.

"Why are you helping me?" He had his arms wrapped around my neck. "I just wanted to help a fellow soldier, I promise." They relax sighing and sit on the floor looking at me.

"What's your name?" He looks at me then looks around the room. "My name is (m/r), sorry about this your Steve right?" I nod my head and he smiles at me slightly looking tired.

"What happened to you, who did this to you?" "I was just walking around with my bags and someone tried to rob me. But then someone came from the back holding a gun. The shot almost hit a civilian, but I jumped in between the bullet and them."

    "It's good that you helped someone but you should also think about how it will effect you." He sighs, smiling at me and nods his head after looking away. "I should leave I don't want to take up your time or have you do this for me." "No it's okay, I didn't have anything important to do anyway.

Why don't I get you some coffee after this (m/r)?" (m/r) smiles and nods his head sitting still as I clean his wounds. He grunts a little when I start cleaning his shot wound. Thankfully it just skidded him but it was still a little deep.

When I finish cleaning it I grab the bandage and he sits up. "It's okay I can do it myself, thank you Steve." He grabs it from my hands when I give it to him. Then he starts wrapping it around himself.

"You aren't very good at doing it yourself, let me help you?" (m/r) stops and lets me fix it making it a little tighter. He grabs his bag and takes a white shirt out then puts it on. After that I stand up and give him a hand to help him stand up.

I walk to the counter grabbing my keys and wallet. (m/r) stood there waiting for me at the door with his shoes on. Then I open the door and we start walking to a coffee shop. But then before we could walk in a man and woman stood in front of us.

We stand there for a minute and I look around the place. There were more people coming towards us until a group surrounded us. "You can still fight right?" "Of course I can!" I smile looking at him as we knock a few to the ground punching the others.

"Are we still going to get that coffee Steve?" When I turn I chuckle seeing (m/r) sitting on one of the guys. "Sure, let's go in then?" We walk in smiling and order some coffee. After we sit at a table waiting for our coffee.

"Your on the Avengers right Captain?" I smile at him seeing that he must've found out. "How'd you know that?" "Well I saw a photo of you with your team and we just got attacked by some bad guys." We both laugh after he said that and start talking.

"What about you, are you from anywhere important?" He looks up thinking and I could see the wheels turning in his head. "Ummm I don't really work anywhere important. I guess you could say working with SHIELD is important."

When he says that I laugh a little as the waiter comes giving us our drinks. "Is that why you met me?" He shakes his head and then takes a sip of coffee. "No, I actually was just tired I did lie about getting beat up by robbers.

But I did get shot at by some bad guys, they are the absolute worst." I nod my head and take a sip of coffee as well. "Where are you working or is it confidential." "No, it's not it's a surprise though!

Uh oh look at the time I have to leave thanks for this. I'll pay you back cya around then!" He walks out the door and I watch, slowly waving goodbye. When I get home I get ready for bed and then fall asleep happy.

I wake up getting dressed for work and go down to the garage putting my helmet on. Then I get my motorcycle ridding it to SHIELD and I smile still happy. When I get there I put it away and walk in the meeting room. "So what'd you call me here for this time Tony?"

There was a mischievous air coming from him but I sit down. "Well~ we have someone new to be on the team. They are very skilled and can help us with many things, they should be here soon." I look at the door hearing something and squint my eyes as it opens.

    As soon as the door opens there was a man wearing all black and he was looking around. "I think you have the wrong room, pal." They were wearing a mask it covered their whole face. "No I don't think I am, I am looking for a man name- WAAH!"

    They fall on the ground after being jumped onto. "Yay! I found you and I finally captured you. Now tell me who you work for and why you were following me you animal." When I look at the person on top it was (m/r).

    "Come on (m/r) let him go and come over here this is who we were talking about yesterday." He turns to me smiling but then sees that it's me his expression changes. "What?! I'm gonna be on the Avengers team why would I do that! You know I would love to work with them but I can't."

    Tony laughs at him a little and I look at him confused. "You should tell the Captain, why you can't be on the team not me." He puts his hands up looking at (m/r) as he sighs. "Fine! I'll be on the team but I won't be nice all the time!

    I will get you Tony and you won't know it until it's too late." Then (m/r) turns walking out of the door with a childish face.  Tony laughs nervously, and rubs his neck looking down. "What a man..." Tony laughs at me, "Wow! so they are your type, you should be awfully careful!"
