Wang YiBo got his right hand injured. With just his left hand doing almost everything, he decided not to come to his café bar until his dominant hand healed. Besides becoming just a burden to his employees, he would also not rather meet that particular doctor that he had been avoiding ever since.

It took almost two months before he could come back. His fanboys and fangirls—he addressed them as his 'fans' because they sent him gifts and 'get well soon' messages as many as an idol would receive—missed him so much that the bar counter was crowded the entire night.

"Lao Wang~" Dr. Xiao called him as he struggled to get back on his seat. "Everyone missed you so much."

Wang YiBo didn't reply.

"Was it too lively for you? I saw your brows slightly knitting."

"Mn."

"Knew it." Dr. Xiao chuckled. "I hope you didn't strain your hand too much tonight. It's almost healed but it's better to be careful."

"Mn."

"But you know what, Lao Wang? I was really surprised to know that you're also a detective."

Wang YiBo glanced at Dr. Xiao's flushed face. He was still very much awake for someone who was already so drunk.

"You're already so cool being an owner of a cool café bar and yet you're also a detective. How cool is that! You can't be cooler anymore. That would be unfair."

Dr. Xiao's chin resting on his own hand slowly slid down to his languidly swaying forearm, his cheek was squeezed as leaned on his arm, his eyelids seemed heavy as he found it hard to keep them open.

"Lao Wang..."

"Yes?"

"Does it bother you that I found out? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone..."

"It's fine. If you guys found out about it, then you guys found out about it."

"But at the same time, you won't be like, 'Hey, I'm a café bar owner, but besides that, I'm also a detective.' Isn't that right, Lao Wang?" Dr. Xiao giggled, his eyes already almost closed.

"Mn. I don't think my customers need to know that."

Dr. Xiao released a soft but warm laugh. "Lao Wang is so cool..."

A corner of Wang YiBo's lips unawarely rose up. "The cool one is Dr. Xiao. If it weren't for you, I would have lost a good friend of mine."

"Oh please, Lao Wang, spare me the compliment! That's the only thing I can say I'm good at. It's not nearly as cool as what Lao Wang does."

Wang YiBo let out an unrestrained chuckle. But then, a sudden realization came into his mind—they were talking like how they used to! He forgot he was supposed to ignore the doctor!

Shit. This was all because of those people annoying the hell out of him. Talking with Dr. Xiao had always been comfortable that Wang YiBo forgot for a while what he had intended to do.

He then brought back his deadpan face.

'Act cold, ignore him, act cold, ignore him.'

"That being said, as a doctor, I hope to not see you often in the hospital. It would be best if I won't ever see you there at all! Gunshot wounds are no joke..."

"We don't always encounter guns. In fact, that was the first time in three years I've been working as a detective. Our job is mostly just to investigate."

"Good to hear. I wouldn't want to see you with a gunshot wound next time. Your friend bled so much, you know? We almost lost him."

"Mn."
