chapter five :Mixed feelings

As soon as the first cock crow in the morning Amaka being an early riser has waken up done her morning exercise ,greeting here and there as Amaka jogs her way down the palace as few children mimic her while others run ahead of her to the palace , as soon ass the news of Amaka got to the palace it became a talk for the maids and guards .loud gisting of the maids wake the prince from his sleep
Angrily "dawo kan aikinku !!" He command the maid back to their duties taking a quick bath he put on his robe and head toward the court .
        
I n about thirty minute Amaka stood at the front of the court chamber as the memory of what had happened previously display in her head finally surmorn courage and walks into the court room as the guard leads her to the royal dinning table .
" What am I suppose to be doing here ?" She ask the guard just as there guard was about answering her the prince walked in .
" Hello how are you doing today ?" He asks "nwoke gini mere ututu a" she whisper in ibo language before facing the prince " oh yes your highness I do "she answer biting her lower lips
" Well your eye tell opposite of what you" he remarks
" How do you expect me to have a wonderful night rest when I'm having trouble sleeping !" she snaps
"Oh ,what way have add to your sleepless night ?"the prince asks taking being hurt by her words
" In the way that you don't have ......,hmm ,well just me and my silly thought ,so how about you ?"  She asks staring at the cold face prince .
" You always emotionless ??" She asks before realizing  what she had said
" I'm sorry ..." She says bowing down
" It's fine guess you don't know the culture here yet , and no no I had a blissful night and a thoughtless ......I don't keep grudges ; just had a lovely and bitter dream ." The prince answer as she whisper "onye na-eche banyere nrọ gị"
" What did you just say " he ask
" I mean I could love to listen to it that is if only you have forgiven my mistake " she says
" What mistake ?" He ask pretending as if not knowing what she was referring to
" I means the stuff about yesterday , I was just confused " she says
" Let's go for a walk "he says ; he takes the lead  as they walk to what seems like a storage .
"It's give and take !"he says touching the tubes of yam without looking back at her .
" What do you mean ?" She asks
" If you wants me to forgive I you gat to make me a promise "he reply
"What promise ?" She ask walking ahead of him admiring the various calfs
" You have to report to the palace at cock crow ,assist me with the palace work as my P. A that's all." He says
" Are you sure that's all ?" She ask carrying one of the mould pots with lot of calve on it .
"Am afraid yes" he answer
"Does it involve documentation ?" She asks
"Untill then " he answer as she changes her face
" You want money or allowance ?" He asks
" Maybe " she reply not sure hi he might react shocking her he smiles
" Of course I will be paying two moon after" he reply
She signs
" So have to be watching the moon !" She say as the prince take his leave
"Don't forget to report to duty tomorrow " he says but existing
" But I never said yes !!" She half yell
And run after the prince who suddenly stop and turn around only for her to bump into him
"I'm sorry " she apologize but he says nothing "

She whispers as the prince state at her shaking his head at her clumsy
" What do you want ?" He ask
" Just a question will do " she answer
"Ask " the prince as running out patient
" Why isn't there wall clock here ?" She ask after a long silence Amaka clears her voice as they both starts forming a sentence at once which cause both of them to laugh lost in their discussion they both didn't realize there was a third party behind them .
