Y/N POV
"What the hell." I growled as I stared at the two floating figures. I unfortunately recognised both, wait...
Before I did anything, I needed to secure and interrogate my passenger. Screw the secrets now. If things went sideways now, there wouldn't be a human left to keep them from.
"Kobayashi, do you know about any of this?" I demanded as the winds raged by.
"Nothing on what's going on no."
"Did you know about either of them?" I further questioned
"Well, "sigh" it's a long story but I know about her yes." She admitted.
Alright then not exactly helpful but I'll take it. Now I need to make a move, or a decision. Do I sit this one out or do I continue investigating? Well, I'm not getting any info sitting around.
Why don't I go and ask?
"Kobayashi, I need you to listen very carefully." I instructed grabbing her by the shoulders.
"I'm going to get over there so I can get some answers and I need you to wait here, I'll handle this."
"Wait hang on, are you sure that's a good idea."
"Don't stress if this goes sideways, I'll get both of us to safety I promise."
"And how will you do that? They're not exactly frail, or friendly creatures if you couldn't tell. How do you expect to..."?
I cut her off as I unfurled my draconic wings and narrowed my eyes.
"I'll explain everything later but what I'm looking at has the potential to level the city, so I need to act. Now." I ordered
"I think you us an explanation as much as we owe you..."
"Kobayashi!"
I threw her my car keys before kicking off the ground and into the air, the force leaving a small crack in the concrete. My wings did the rest, propelling my body through the air. Kobayashi was the least of my concerns right now. Having two dragons in the same place is never a good thing, especially ones with their caliber of power.
I need answers.
I touched down close to the scene before applying a cloaking spell to my form. Best not to disturb for now. Finishing my work, I launched myself into the air once again, gaining altitude until I reached the duo. I could hear them talking, they were angry, frustrated with each other. The only thing I knew so far was that these two were father and daughter, as well as a vague idea of their backgrounds.
"Tohru, this isn't where you belong, and you know it. Return home with me this instant." The elder spoke calmly
"You don't know that! I like it here, there are people here that I care for, and I don't have to spend every waking moment fighting for my life!" She cried
"Foolish child, you fail to see the bigger picture. Your very presence on this plain is disrupting it entirely."
"You may be in a good position now but how long will it be before that fails. How long will it be before others notice your presence here. How long will it be before..."?
"They decide to what, plot an invasion?" Both dragons flinched turning to face the source of noise.
"I assure you Damocles they will fail miserably if they dare try." I spoke calmly, my formal voice breaking through my tone as my cloaking spell melted from my figure.
I had adorned a new attire, summoned more rather. A suit of armour that I hadn't worn in a long time. Its purpose wasn't only to prevent others from harming me no. its purpose was to make others fear the consequences of doing so.
