Adam x Reader x Barney - Need a Little Love

Your POV

It was the 3rd time this week that you had gotten into a verbal fight with your mother, always bitching and complaining about Adam and Barney not being good partners for you.

They were amazing! They treated you like royalty, always asking if they could kiss you, hold you, etc.

Your mother on the hand wasn't happy that you were dating two men, but you didn't care. You loved them for them, not because they were famous, but also their personalities, they were goofballs just like you, they loved a lot of the same things as you.

"Y/N!" You were snapped out of your thoughts as your mother barged in your room, she didn't know that you were on the phone with your boys, so when they heard your mother they instantly went quiet to listen in and make sure nothing bad would happen.

"What!?" You snapped back.
"Why did I just find this in the dryer!?" She pulled your binder from her back.
Your eyes went wide.
"You aren't a boy! You are a girl! Start acting like it, or I will send you to a mental hospital to get this shit out of your head." She there the binder at you and walked out.
You silently cried, "baby?" A voice came through, Barney.
"She hates me." You cried.
"You can move in with us." Adam said.

You always wanted to move in with them but was afraid to because your mother always knew you were up to something.
"We'll come over tomorrow and set things straight, you can't live like this anymore and we won't let you." Adam said, you could practically hear the smile on his face.

"Thanks guys, I love you."
"We love you too baby." They said in unison.

*Timeskip*

You were packing up, trying not to look suspicious. You heard your front door open and close, panicking you threw everything in your closet and sat at your desk like nothing was wrong.
"Baby? We're's here!" It was Barney.
"In here!" You called.
They opened your bedroom door to see your room clean.
"I thought you were packing?" Adam said.
"I was but then I heard you guys and thought it was my mother so I panicked." You smiled nervously. You loved your boys but them being here unannounced made your anxiety act up.
"Y/n! I'm home, and I bought you a nice dress." Your mother called out.
She opened the door and her grin was replaced with a angry glare.
"You two, get out!" Your mother yelled.
"We're taking y/n with us though, they aren't living like this anymore." Adam opened your closet and took out the suitcases and duffel bags full of clothes and personal items.
"Like hell she is!"
"They are." You corrected, "my pronouns are they/them." You glared. With new found confidence, you walk up to her and smack her straight in the face.
"I don't want you in my life! Stay away from me, and my family." You glare.

She huffs and walks out.

You sigh in relief knowing that this is over for now, you feel two hands on your back and smile leaning back into the embrace.
"Thanks guys." You sigh, content.
"No problem baby." Adam kisses your forehead.
"We'll always be here's for you's." Barney rubs his stubble against your cheek.

*Few Months Later*

Your mother hadn't called in months and frankly you'd like to keep it that way.

"Come play with us y/n!" Tim called, offering the basketball for you.
"I'm coming!" You smiled, taking the ball and shooting it in the hoop, making everyone cheer.
It was short lived though, when you looked to where everyone else was looking and saw your dad.

"Dad!" You ran you hug him, he hugged you back eagerly laughing as he squeezed you lovingly.
"I came to see my child and check up on em, have you seen them?" He asked.
"I'm here dad, and I'm fine. Adam and Barney have been taking care of me." You smile at him.
He kisses your forehead, he walks over to the boys and hugs them as well.
"Thank you for taking care of my baby." He smiles, Adam and Barney nod.

For the rest of the time, it was spent with laughter and smiles.

(My mind went blank lol)
