The Road

"So are you gonna explain or are you just gonna keep pacing til the floor caves in and you're in hell, because if that's the case let me help."

I give her a mean look and say,"It's not what you think."

She raises her left eyebrow."Oh really? Then explain."

After I give her a very detailed description of what went down last night she just gives me a blank look.

"What?"

After like 2 minutes she just says,"I just don't know which ones more surprising the fact that you got drunk or that Tyler Hayes slept on the floor."

"Are you mad?"

Sydney just laughs. "No honestly I'm just kind of surprised he didn't try to get some since he was risking losing his Audi."

Now that she says it, I'm surprised.

Also, slightly offended.

"Yeah he's really not as bad as every girl says he is."

Sydney just thought about it and said,"Maybe he's just being nice to trick you into having sex with him."

Maybe.

"Look let's forget about the ultimate manwhore of manwhores around the country and watch Grey's."

After 6 episodes of Grey's Anatomy Sydney goes home and I'm left alone finishing the fifth season.

Why is my phone ringing? It must be Sydney.

"Sydney you just left I mean I get you miss me but I promise you'll see me soon.", I say while laughing.

"Sydney was there? Sweet, was Samantha with her too?"

I could practically feel the smirk on his lips.

"Tyler Hayes, you have 20 seconds to give me two good reasons why I shouldn't hang up."

He just starts to laugh.

"I see you saw my tweet."

"Okay look it might sound like I'm hanging up but I promise I'm not."

Then I hang up.

5 minutes later.

"Hello?"

"I literally tried to talk to you for 4 minutes before catching on."

I just died and laughed for like 10 minutes.

"I'm done.", I say in between laughs.

"Good I'm about to pick you up."

"What?"

"What?", he says back.

"No you're not."

As I hear a car pull up he says,"Too late."

"C'mon Kate I promise I won't try anything."

After I don't respond he adds,"and I promise I won't tweet about it."

"I'm in."

As I get into the car I see a huge smile on his face.

"Where are we going?"

Some how he smiles even wider and says,"It's a secret."

Great, just great.

"Here play whatever I don't care."

He hands me the aux cord and we jam to Fall Out Boy for 25 minutes.

"We're here."

As I look around I see we're on a road.

"You wanted to bring me to a road?"

He just turns off the car and gets out.

As he sits down on the edge of it he says,"Not just any road. It's the road no one goes on."

He wanted to bring me to an isolated road. I mean I get I'm not the best looking but damn am I really that embarrassing to be see with.

After I don't respond he decides to elaborate a little bit more. "I go to this road when I need my space, when I'm mad, when I'm sad, or when I just want to be alone."

And after a few moments he points where I'm sitting.

"I've had sex there many of times."

As I get up disgusted by this new information I decide to ask,"That still doesn't explain why you brought me here."

"Because I felt really bad when I realized you had to walk home so I'd thought I would repay you by sharing this road when you need space or sex."

I cringe at the end of that sentence.

He laughs but his laugh gets interrupted by my phone going off where I was sitting.

"Who is "EGG DONAR"?"

Oh crap. I forgot it's the annual phone call from mom.

I just grab the phone and start to back away and turn my back from him.

"Hey mom."

Ugh she's drunk.

"Look call me in the morning when you're sober I don't want to deal with this right now."

"I just wanted to call and say I love you.", she says slurring her words while crying.

I just reply with," Goodnight."

Then I hang up.

As I turn around to face Tyler he looks confused and concerned.

"What was that about?"

I just tell him nothing and sit back by him.

"Ok."

I look at him surprised he didn't ask more about it.

He must've noticed because he said," Look you obviously don't want to tell me about it right now so I'll respect your privacy."

I smile in gratitude."thanks."

He just smiles back and says,"Don't worry the next time we come back here you can tell me all about it."

I just smirk and raise my eyebrow.
"Oh, there's gonna be a next time?"

He smirks back and says,"Well of course."

I just smile wider.

"I mean we haven't even banged yet."

After he noticed my cold stare he laughs and says,"I'm kidding."

I punch him and push him over and him being the idiot he is holds on to me.

Awesome, now I'm just lying on top of him only 2 inches away from his lips and he's staring at me like I'm a deer and he's a lion ready to attack his prey.

I really need to stop with the analogies.

Even though we could both get up neither of us budge; we just look into each other's eyes and don't move.

That's when he looks at my lips and starts moving forward.

No this can't be happening. I can't kiss him. He's a manwhore. A nasty manwhore that if I kissed him I would have to go get tested!

Just when we're nearly a centimeter apart he stops himself and just says,"Cmon Kate let me bring you home."

What the hell?
