Butthurt

TYLERS POV:

"Are you gonna tell me where we're going or is this gonna be a surprise?"

I just smile and say,"No we're just gonna get McDonalds and eat at the road."

Man what am I doing? I wasn't planning on hanging out with her today or last night. I just seem to want to be around her. Ever since that night she's been on my mind. This is so weird, I don't go for girls. Girls just come to me.

When we almost kissed I really wanted to, but I felt like I need to take things slow. If she's the girl I plan on settling down with I want it to last.

"Earth to Tyler."

I turn to look at her momentarily before looking back at the road."What were you saying?"

She just laughs and says,"Oh I was laughing about how butthurt Claire was."

I furrow my eyebrows,"What the hell does 'butthurt' mean?"

She looks at me like I'm the most idiotic person alive."You don't know what butthurt means?'

"No, I'm just asking for shits and giggles.', I say sarcastically.

She just laughs and says,"Well being 'butthurt' means you get really mad over something so small."

"That doesn't even make sense! Why would someone say that. Why don't you just say the word 'mad'?"

She burst out laughing and says,"Quit getting butthurt about the word butthurt!"

"I'm not butthurt!", I say but soon regret it cause I realized I just said the word.

Okay its official if she didn't have a seatbelt on she'd be rolling on the passenger seats floor.

I roll my eyes,"Haha so freakin' funny. C'mon were at McDonalds what do you want?"

After we order we just chill and listen to music til' we make it to the road.

Once we sit down she looks at the spot we almost kissed at and I decided to start up a conversation to make her somewhat not think about it.

"So, I'm guessing you haven't talked to Danny?"

Wow great topic Tyler. Pat on the back for seeming like a nosy douche.

She just shakes her head and says,"No and not really planning on it."

"Why was he so mad that you drank? I mean that's not like its shunned if you drink at a party. Honestly, it's the other way around."

Oh my gosh why am I acting like this?

She doesn't speak for a while obviously thinking about how to answer my nosy question that I mentally punch myself for asking.

Finally she just slowly says,"Lets just say I'm trying everything I can not to turn into someone I know."

I just nod and continue to eat my big mac.

After a few minutes we start talking about school and graduation.

"Aw man lunch has been over 30 minutes ago we're late!"

Crap, must've lost track of time.

Once we arrive to school all three of Kate's friends are looking at me like I committed murder. Specifically Sydney and Danny.

When I get out the car I stumble backwards and feel a tiny sting on my jaw.

Did Danny just punch me?

"What the hell was that for?!"

He just looks at me and says,"That was for taking my girl home that night."

his girl?

I just look at him and say,"Well what was I supposed to do huh?!? Just leave her there like you? Sorry gentlemen don't do that."

He just bitterly laughs,"Oh and you know about being a gentlemen? Please, you can't even go two minutes with out being with a different girl."

"Well that's sad when a douchebag like me has to clean up your mess."

When he tries to go for a second punch Kate stops him and says,"Enough! First of all Danny I'm not "you're girl" and I never will be."

haha suck it.

Then she turns around and looks at me,"And as for you I'm not his mess. Okay I'm not his or anyone's possession. And I'm sure as hell not trash!"

Then she just storms off and gets in her car and leaves.

That's when Sydney comes up to me and says,"Look I know you and I'm not stupid you might have Kate fooled but not me. Don't go near her."

That's it.

I just get in my car and drive hoping she'll be at the only place I know she would be.

I mean besides her house of course.
