"I heard that we have a visitor." Said Kenna walking in and closing the door. She wasn't mad, her tone was light, and she was smiling at Bash not a fake smile but a true one.

"Yes." Said Bash point at the little girl sleeping soundly curled up in the middle of the bed. "I would introduce you but she fell asleep in my arms while I was carying her here." He explained.

"Nice." Said Kenna chuckling softly walking closer to the bed and looking at the sleeping girl. "It looks like you are not the only one who won't be sleeping in the bed today." She said lightly.

Ever since they were forced to marry and live together Bash gave her the bed honorary sleeping on the ottoman next to the window. Kenna looked skeptical at his current bed. "There is no chance we will fit there together." She said casually and Bash smiled for the first time in a long time that day.
She was nice, she was like a ray of light shining in a very dark room. "Yeah that could be very uncomfortable."

"Whatever," she demanded waving her hand "Tell me what happened and who is this pretty redhead in my bed?" Asked Kenna sitting at the table.
Bash told her the whole story. How he met Sally's father how they become friends and how he knew the girl ever since she was born and was even as close as an uncle to her.

Kenna listened and smiled at the obvious love he had for the young girl in his voice. As he quietened kenna's mind came back to the plaguing thoughts she had, had earlier at the feast and decided to talk about it now...
"Bash." She said

He rubbed his face "You don't need to say it I know what you wish to speak of and I did promise I would talk later in private but first know I am sorry." He said gently

She nodded "Why where you and mary late to the feast?"

He looked at her "Mary had went out riding and never came back yesterday before the storms and I knew likely where she was because when I had been engaged to her her and I spent a bit of time together there away from court... I reached her just as it began to start pouring. We got stuck there unable to ride back till the storm lifted so I took her to a barn not far away and started a fire to keep us warm and dry us up. Mary was upset because of the um... situation with Francis and um... Lola." He said

Kenna's eyes widened "What was she upset about that for?"

"Because she has been trying for months and has not been able to conceive yet Lola conceived the first night she believed she was broken." He said

Kenna winced

"Anyways she told me everything including that Francis is still sleeping with Lola and its hurting mary..." he said trailing off a look of anger mentioning what his brother and mary and Kenna's friend were doing to mary.

"oh dear... bash tell me you two didn't ..." she whispered

He looked away "She begged me and I tried to fight it but she ... I couldn't resist I made love to her." He whispered

Kenna squeezed his shoulder gently "If she hurts you again I'll hurt her." She said

He smiled at her and kissed her gently. "You are an amazing wife Kenna better than I deserve" he whispered gently

She smiled "now we know that's not true I'm your fathers ex mistress that was forced upon you as a punishment for going after the girl you really wanted." She said

He watched her and kneeled in-front of her taking her hands in his "Kenna De Poitiers you are much more than just an ex mistress you are my wife and though I may love another I do care for you and the last thing I ever want to do is hurt you ." He said softly

She smiled and kissed him softly " you are a good man bash I hope mary stays true to her word because I will hurt her if she is just playing with your heart... please know that I am here always and forever for you married or not." She said
