Every moment Mary Could was spent with sally and when the letter came from the Vatican approving the adoption Mary had scooped the girl up and twirled her around smiling. There was rarely a sad face between the mother and daughter, though she was biologically someone else's baby she had become Mary's and everyone in the castle loved her the months flew and a bump began to show on Mary not that the entire castle didn't know. Elizabeth had left and promised to return when the warriors did to celebrate their victory.
Mary and Lola bonded over being pregnant and their strained friendship mended, Lola got closer to her due date and she hoped with all her heart for a boy for Francis. Mary hoped to she knew Francis would be happy with either but he wanted a little boy.
Mary and Diane still did not get along Diane had taken to glaring at Mary as they past each other and it didn't help that she only remained in the castle at bash's request. The king had fallen for Kenna deeply and had told Diane in no uncertain terms they where done. Mary was happy for her friend and she pitied Diane, Mary now knew why her and Catherine got along they where both used to one way of things and they didn't like the changes.
One particular evening Diane had even went as far to say that she would never accept the child as her grandchild unless Mary proved it was bash's and not some man on the side. This has caused Mary to explode the weeks of constant worrying and fear her fiancée the father of her child would never be able to meet his child finally erupted.
Mary got in her face and for a moment Diane looked a tad bit scared. "Do not ever make assumptions that I would cheat on bash! This child is his as will any child I have! I'm sick and tired of you acting like your better than I am! The only reason your still in this castle is because bash wants it!" She yelled
Diane stared at her "did I hurt your feelings dear?" She asked mockingly
Mary glared "keep it up and I will see you banished from here and you will spend your days never knowing if bash ever came back! You'll never see him again so keep antagonizing me, I can and will convince him to send you away got me? think because you're his mother you can speak to me however you want? Catherine Thought the same and now look where she is...fuck with me and you will regret it." She hissed
Diane stared "you wouldn't dare." She whispered
"Accuse me of cheating on bash and you'll find I'm capable of anything I will never hurt him I love him in this life and the next." She said then turned and left the room

The months passed slowly and nothing changed between Diane and Mary except Diane no longer openly antagonized her, fearing she would convince bash to send her away permanently.
When Mary wasn't with sally or attending to court matters she sat by the lake where she and bash had their first kiss when worries got the better of her she would cling to a shirt of his or something with his scent to convince herself he was coming home, she'd even rub the scar on her hand and repeat her promise to him softly.

Mary walked in the throne room having been summoned from her usual play time with sally. She saw most of the castle in the room and she made her way to the front standing by Francis and Lola Kenna standing by the king and Diane off in-front of the crowd.
"Ladies and gentlemen it has been four almost five months since our soldiers went to fight the Protestant rebels in Scotland! News has arrived about our progress and our men, i will read a list of the dead first to honor our hero's who have moved on to heaven!" Henry called
Mary gripped Francis's arm and he pulled her into his side Lola and Kenna Coming to her side to support her.
" Andrew Mose
