"Are you ok?" He glanced in my direction with concern and irritation written on his face. I nodded slightly and held my arm across my body as I stared down at the floor. Coke was dripping from my skirt and splattering sounds filled the silence that his voice had left behind.
"What the fuck are you doing?" His head turned back to the group of girls who were all stood in front of him. Jihun shifted her weight between her legs and let out a loud lofty huff.
"We're just messing around. Tell him y/n." She snapped, obviously irritated that Felix had taken my side instead of hers.
"No." I stated firmly. "You weren't joking. You were being a dumb bitch as usual." I stated firmly.
"What the hell did you just say?!" She demanded as she stepped forward. Felix reached out and shoved her shoulder with two fingers, forcing her backwards.
"Don't fucking talk to her. I'm the one who asked the question." He grumbled like an angry wolf. His mood was darkening and I could feel his anger radiating around the room. His body was stiff and upright. His fists were balled tightly and I could see his jaw moving as he clenched and unclenched it.
"Lixy we were just trying to joke with her." Jihun stated as she pouted, attempting to be cute, and trying to diffuse Felix's dark aura, back to his usual light fluffy one. It wasn't working. He took a deep breath and I gently took the back of his shirt in my fists, gripping tightly. If he snapped I didn't want him to get into trouble for doing anything stupid. He took a long deep breath and tried to calm his swelling anger. His shoulders were rising and falling quickly with every deep angry breath that entered and exited his body.
"Don't call me that. Apologise now." He instructed firmly in the deepest voice I had ever heard come from him.
"Lixy I-" His fist came crashing down on the desk in front of him as he lunged forward. I gripped his shirt as tightly as I could, attempting to stop him. His strength was astounding. He simply dragged me forward as he moved to close the gap. The sound he had created echoed around the empty room and bounced off of every hard surface, emphasising his displeasure.
"WHAT DID I JUST FUCKING SAY?!" He roared like a lion, and acted like he was about to pounce on her. He was ready to go in for the kill. "DON'T EVER FUCKING CALL ME THAT YOU PATHETIC WASTE OF PRECIOUS OXYGEN."
"Please don't Lix." I murmured as I regained my footing and wrapped my soaked arms around his middle. I squeezed him tightly and pressed my face into his back, as I attempted to stop him gaining anymore ground. The girls had shrunk backwards, and their backs were against the wall as he panted like an angry animal, glaring from one terrified face to the next. He was the predator who had trapped his prey in a tight corner. It was just a matter of who he would get first.
"When I tell you to apologise, you do it. Capiche?" He spat the words angrily in her face, and his deep angry tone filled every nook and cranny of the room. "If you so much as look at her in the wrong way, I will fucking ruin your life Jihun." His finger jabbed into her chest and I began dragging him backwards. Not because I was strong enough to, simply because he allowed me to. He wanted to be stopped.
"What the fuck is your problem?! It was only two weeks ago you were telling me how special I was!" She yelled angrily as she rubbed her clearly sore chest.
"Gee I wonder why I did that?" He asked sarcastically as he tapped his finger on his sharp chin. "Could it be because I knew you were fucking easy and a few sweet words would get me laid?" He asked as he let out a sarcastic laugh. She gasped and looked horrified as he called her out in front of everyone.
"Lix, stop it." I said flatly. I actually didn't want him to. She deserved this as far as I was concerned. She was a bitch at the best of times and the more I heard, the braver I got. She would never catch me out like this again. I couldn't allow Felix to fight my battles for me.
"Or did you actually believe I had feelings for you?" He barked out a single, solitary loud laugh. "You're dumber than you look." He drawled in the most venomous voice I had ever heard from him. Who knew Lee Felix had a temper?
"OK Lix. That will do." I turned to see Hyunjin leaning his slender frame against the door frame with his hands sunk deep into his pockets, as an amused smirk adorned his beautiful face. He slowly, and sexily, sauntered towards us. Taking each step more slowly than the last. He looked positively beautiful as he approached and I was in awe of him.
"I swear to God. If you were a guy, you'd be fucking dead." Hyunjin's hand landed on his shoulder and he stepped in between the two of them. He cupped Felix's face gently and stared deep into his eyes. It was as though they were communicating without words. Felix nodded and pulled his face free of Jin's grasp.
"Here y/nie. You must be cold." Felix pulled his sweater off and pulled it over my head. I slid my arms down the almost silky wool and his delicious scent filled my nose as the fabric engulfed me. It was almost down to my knees and looked like a dress as it hung awkwardly from my body. My fingertips just poked out of the end of the sleeves and he began moving wet strands of hair from my eyes.
"Thanks Lix." I murmured as I stared up at him with tears of gratitude in my eyes. If he hadn't showed up, they would have surely done much worse. They didn't get a reputation for being mean girls from nowhere. He ran his sleeve over my face to try and dry it slightly and began examining my hair.
"Ugh. Disgusting." He murmured as he examined the vile chewed gum in my hair. "Don't worry. I can get this out for you." He quickly turned to Jin and began fishing around in the backpack on his broad shoulders. He pulled out a beanie hat and began carefully stuffing my hair in it.
"I'm sorry." I murmured as my eyes fell to the floor. His arms wrapped around me and he rubbed my back gently.
"You did nothing wrong y/nie. Don't apologise. Let's skip the rest of the day. We'll go get you cleaned up and then we'll get started on your projects ok?" He whispered soothingly into my ear. I buried my face into his chest and nodded slightly as tears began rolling down my cheeks.
I wasn't sure why I was crying. They hadn't actually hurt me. I was just deathly embarrassed that this had happened to me. Who knew college was just as full of drama as high school?
"I suggest you ladies think twice before doing this again. I don't care who, where, what or why you decide to do this, but next time, I won't call Lix off." Hyunjin stated flatly as he pointed to the door, instructing them to leave without uttering anything of the sort to them. They slowly filed out under his intense watchful gaze and apologised one by one.
"Sorry guys. I didn't mean to cause all of this." I mumbled quietly. I pulled away from Lix and dried my eyes with my fingertips. I flicked the tears off of my hands quickly and shook my head slightly.
"Stop it idiot. You did nothing. They're just bitches. Why were we ever interested in her again Lix?" Hyunjin asked as they began escorting me from the room. I allowed them to lead me, and stopped listening to their conversation. I felt so pathetic not being able to stand up for myself. It was ridiculous.
Next time, Jihun would pay. I would make sure of it.
