Chapter Nine: Safety

I got out of the soothing steamy shower and pulled my fluffy towel around my boiling hot body. Today had been rough emotionally and physically. The soft fibres brushing over my skin brought some comfort to my busy mind. Felix's temper had been the most surprising thing. Hearing him shout and watching him get so angry had been an eye opener, and I reminder that I still didn't know these two all that well.

Felix had managed to get the sticky bright pink gum out of my hair, and I had cleansed my body of the sticky soda that had drenched it. He had turned back into the soft kitten I knew and cared for, the instant we had gotten out of that room.

"How gross." I murmured to myself as I picked up the pile of drenched clothes, that had formed a large brown puddle around them as they sat on the floor. Felix's sweater was drenched through too and it all needed to be washed.

The sound of their joking and laughter drifted through my empty apartment and filled it with a lively, home like atmosphere I had never realised it was missing. These two were becoming a breath of fresh air in my lonely quiet world, and I was overwhelmed with how much care and attention they gave to me.

"Here she is!" Felix shouted excitedly as I entered the lounge. I flopped down on the couch between them and held my arms out as I threw my head back.

"You may embrace me peasants." I joked. That was a mistake. Hyunjin grabbed my arms and held my wrists firmly in one of his large hands and both of them began tickling me ferociously as they yelled and objected to me calling them both peasants.

"Yah! You rude little shit! Peasants?! We saved your ass!" Felix yelled as he laughed at me squealing and writhing around.

"Take it back y/n! Why are you so mean?! We've been nothing but nice to you!" Hyunjin said, sounding hurt as continued attacking me with tickles. I submitted and apologised quickly after the tickling became unbearable. My ribs felt like they were ready to break as my violent laughter reached its peak. Hyunjin released my hands and dried the tears that had formed from my laughter.

"So, what did you guys wanna do tonight? Someone said something about a party?" I asked with a suggestively raised eyebrow. They both perked up and began grinning at me and each other.

"Well actually y/nie... We have something even better planned now. Before we tell you, you have to say you're in." Felix's tone was lower and more serious than usual and my heart began racing. They had something devilish planned.

"And once you say you're in y/nie. There's no backing out." Hyunjin shifted his body so he was facing me on the sofa. His fingers gently took some loose strands of my wet hair and he fiddled with them as he stared deep into my eyes, almost daring me to deny them both.

"Can I get a hint?" My voice was squeaky and nervous as Felix rested his chin on my shoulder and snaked his arms around my waist. Having their undivided attention still put me on edge and made me feel incredibly self conscious. These two were the most intense people I had ever met.

"That would be against the rules my little y/nie." Felix whispered into my ear. Small goosebumps spread across my neck as his breath tickled my warm skin and I shuddered slightly. Hyunjin tsked slightly as he leaned in closer to me. His perfectly straight nose was almost touching mine and I could feel my face burning up.
