Kate left the house that morning with thoughts racing through her head. She got into the car and took a minute to think. She knew she was already late so she thought to herself :
"how much damage could a couple more minutes do?"
Kate sat in the drivers seat weeping as she thought about Meg. She quickly realized she had to get to work and wiped away her tears.
As Kate was nearing the bau building she saw a big 18-wheeler coming straight for her. All of a sudden all she could see was blurry images as she was pinned into her seat. She could hear her name being called over and over again. It sounded like the team, well part of it anyways.
JJ's POV
JJ woke up just like every other morning. She walked downstairs and started to put Henry's breakfast together. Henry soon came racing down the stairs all dressed and ready to go. He sat down to eat his breakfast as JJ went upstairs to finish getting ready. "Will." JJ said as she walked into the bedroom.
"Can you take Henry today? I'm running late"
"Yea of course I can." Will replied.
"Thank you." JJ said as she kissed him on the cheek.
Will walked downstairs to take Henry to daycare for the day.
"Come on bud time to go." Said Will.
"Ok daddy" replied Henry while he picked up his coat and opened the door.
"Bye mommy!" Yelled Henry before he walked outside.
"Bye sweetie." JJ said from the top of the stairs while blowing him a kiss.
JJ walked back into her bedroom to grab her briefcase before walking out the door and becoming extremely tardy. As JJ was driving down the street she could see cop cars and ambulances up ahead. The only way to reach the bau was straight towards all the flashing lights and sirens so that's what she did. JJ kept driving down the street until she couldn't go any further. A police officer stopped her and asked her to roll down her window.
"You're going to have to go around and find another way to your destination" said the officer.
"I'm agent Jennifer Jareau with the bau is everything alright?"
"18-wheeler and a car collided" said the officer.
"Is there any chance I could get through? This is the only way to the office." Said JJ.
"I'm sorry but we can't let anyone in until everything is cleared." Replied the officer.
"Alright thank you." She said with a hint of defeat in her voice.
JJ couldn't see much of what happened. There were blinding lights everywhere she looked. JJ then suddenly realized something. The car. The car that was in the accident. It was Kate's.
"Kate!" JJ yelled out.
