"Penelope, go ahead I'll just be a second." JJ stated as she waited for Garcia to exit the room.
"What is it?" She asked as she turned towards the doctor that had just walked in to the room.
"There's something you should know." He said hesitantly.
JJ waited for the man to continue speaking.
"Because of the accident she isn't able to remember some of what she used to. Memories will come and go she may not even remember you. You're going to have to be patient and take your time with her." Said the man.
JJ silently nodded her head as she headed out of the waiting room and down the hall towards Kate's room where Penelope waited. JJ entered the room and found Garcia sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. Penelope rose as JJ walked in through the door. Penelope gave JJ a strange look as she walked into the room.
"What?" Penelope said in a demanding tone.
JJ pulled Penelope out of the room so they could chat privately even though Kate had not woken up yet.
"What did the doctor say?" Asked Garcia as the two women reached the hallway.
"He said that because of the accident she may not be able to remember certain events. She may not even remember us." JJ stated.
"What if she doesn't remember what happened this morning before she left home? What happens if she doesn't remember why she had spoken with Meg this morning?!" Garcia said as she threw her hands in the air out of frustration.
"Hey it'll be fine. He said she will eventually get the missing memories back." As the words slipped from JJ's mouth they realized that Kate had woken up. The two women walked back into the room. They walked over to Kate.
"How are you feeling?" JJ asked first.
"Like I got hit by a truck." Kate stated.
"Kate, do you remember anything about what happened this morning?" Asked JJ.
"No, not much anyways."
"Can you try your best? For us?"
"Of course, anything." Kate stated.

Penelope's POV

Garcia's phone rang as JJ was talking to Kate.
"Garcia" she stated.
"Garcia, it's me, it's Derek." The other end spoke.
"Derek..."
"Hey, baby girl we need to talk." Said Morgan.
"We don't need to talk. Why would we need to talk?" Garcia asked.
"Penelope just tell me where you are and I'll come get you."
"I'm fine. You don't need to come get me." Penelope spoke.
"Penelope, just tell me where you are so I know you're in a safe place." Morgan demanded.
"I'm at the hospital. With JJ and Kate." Garcia stated.
Are you alright? What happened?" Derek demanded to know.
"Yes, I'm fine. Kate got hit by a truck this morning on her way in to work she's just gotten out of surgery and we're just trying to get her to remember what had happened." She spoke.
"Wait for me. I'm coming now." Said Derek.

Derek's POV

Derek got into his car and left the BAU. As he was driving down the street he kept looking at the houses on the side.
"1904, 1906, 1908, 1910. here it is." Derek said as he pulled into the driveway. He parked the car and walked into the house. Once inside the house he ran directly up the stairs and into Meg's room. He grabbed the bloody shirt that was on the floor and ran back downstairs. He got in his car and then drove to the hospital. While in the car he pulled out his cellphone and dialled Penelope's number.
"Hey baby girl. I'm coming now. What floor did you say you were on again?"
"We're on the 4th floor." She told him.
"I'll see you real soon baby girl." He said as he hung up the phone. Derek reached the hospital and punched in button number 4 on the elevator. Once the elevator reached the 4th floor he stepped out to find Garcia waiting there just for him.
"Hey baby girl." He said as he went in for a hug.
"How is she?" He asked.
"She's ok. Doesn't remember much of this morning though."
"It's ok. We'll work on it." he stated.
