Derek's POV
Derek had gotten to work extremely early that morning. He walked into the bullpen area to find Hotch sitting at his desk inside his office. The two men made eye contact and gave each other a smirk. Derek sat down at his desk and opened up his paperwork. As he was finishing up the rest of his paperwork he heard a large bang. He stared up at Hotch's office to see him sitting in his chair undisturbed. Derek decided it was nothing and continued to finish his paperwork. About 10 mins later Spencer walked in to the room through the double door leading to the hallway.
"Morning." He said as he walked over to his desk to put his things down.
"Finishing paperwork I see?" Said Reid jokingly
"There's always paperwork Reid" he said sounding annoyed.
Derek got up from his seat and went down the hallway towards Garcia's office. As he was outside he heard sobbing coming from inside the room. Derek turned the door handle and walked into the room to find Garcia on the phone and sobbing.
"Hey baby girl" he said sounding worried.
"I need to go!" Garcia said as she stood up to grab her purse and hurried out the door as Morgan followed.
Derek stopped in front of Penelope so he could talk to her for a second.
"Hey, what's with you? You alright?" Derek asked.
"Yes I'm fine I just need to go do something" she said.
Garcia sped away from Morgan and hopped in the elevator heading downward.
Penelope's POV
In the elevator Garcia dialled JJ's cell number.
"Hello?" Said JJ.
"JJ it's me. I'm on my way."
"Alright let me know when you get here." she said. As Penelope reached the parking lot she kept her head down to avoid a conversation so she could get going. She hopped into her car and sped away as fast as she could so she could get to the hospital. Garcia reached the hospital and dialled JJ's cell number again to let her know that she had gotten there alright. Penelope walked in to the nearest elevator and hit the button that said "4." The elevator reached the 4th floor and Garcia exited to see JJ standing in the waiting room. JJ walked up to Penelope with tears rolling down her cheeks.Garcia went in for a hug after passing JJ a tissue. The two women hugged and then JJ suddenly pulled away. Penelope was confused.
"JJ are you alright?" She asked.
"Yea." She said.
"JJ, I need to tell you something. I couldn't tell you over the phone I needed to say it in person." Said Garcia.
"What?" JJ asked hesitantly.
"You remember when I called you to say that Meg was missing?"
"Yes of course."
"That's not all." She explained.
"What's wrong?" Asked JJ.
"The 4 girls that went missing, they look exactly like Meg. The one thing they have in common is that they all self-harmed."
"Do we know if Meg self-harms?" Asked JJ.
"We're going to have to ask Kate about that." Said Penelope as tears gathered in her eyes and started rolling down her cheeks. Just as the two women were about to sit down a doctor walked into the room.
"Agents, she's out of surgery now, she should be waking up soon." He said as he looked straight into JJ's eyes.
