"Kate!" JJ kept yelling as she ran towards the accident.
JJ finally got through the crowd of first responders to find herself staring at Kate's beaten up car. As JJ neared the scene she saw immense amounts of blood on the ground until she stopped at the car to find a battered and bloody Kate. JJ couldn't find words, she just stared at Kate's body in disbelief.
JJ scrambled to get up off of the pavement. JJ ran over to a paramedic.
"You've got to help her!" JJ pleaded.
"Ma'am, we're doing the best we can."
JJ had a sense of fear on her face. She ran back over to Kate so she could help the best she could.
Kate's POV
Where am I? Kate thought to herself. All she could see was darkness with a bit of light here and there. Kate then felt something cold, almost freezing. At first she didn't understand what it was, she then realized they were the very cold and fragile hands of a woman. But what were they doing? She could only feel the hands in one specific spot. Kate then clued in that the woman was searching for a pulse. All Kate could think about was: "I'm alive! Please, help me!" She thought of many different things she could have said yet nothing came out.
JJ's POV
JJ ran over to Kate as quick as possible. She put her hands on Kate's neck to try and find a pulse. It was very faint but it was there. The paramedics then jumped into action to get Kate out of the car. They had to try and cut Kate out of the car as she was trapped inside and unresponsive. The paramedics were finally able to get Kate out of the car and onto a stretcher. As they were wheeling Kate into the ambulance one of the paramedics motioned to JJ so he could speak with her.
"Ma'am, we thank you for all of your help today. Did you know the victim personally?" The paramedic asked.
"Yes, we're co-workers. Would you mind if I came along?" JJ asked hesitantly.
"Of course not. Hop right in" the paramedic responded.
JJ jumped into the back of the ambulance as fast as she could so they could get Kate to the hospital. In the ambulance the paramedic asked JJ questions about Kate.
"How do you to know each other?" The man asked.
"We're co-workers." JJ responded.
"Do you know where she was headed before the crash?"
"I believe she was on her way to work. We work at the BAU." Said JJ.
While one paramedic was asking JJ questions the other was desperately trying to stabilize Kate. They were finally able to stabilize her and get a faint response. This continued for about 20 mins. They reached the hospital and as they were wheeling Kate out of the ambulance JJ looked around. Flashing lights everywhere, sirens blaring. The next thing she heard was:
"We're loosing her! She's flat lining!"
