The next morning all the women were in the kitchen making breakfast. Asher's great aunts and cousins. They all were quite interested in me. An orphan from a broken home put into yet another broken home. When the food was all done all the women fed their plus ones and so on. I took Asher a plate not really interested in meeting anyone. Not today at least. It was weird not being on Zoloft and always being happy. I was incredibly saddened.
"Thank you." Asher said pulling me into his lap. I nodded and picked at my bacon.
"So Peyton Elizabeth, has Asher been a good boyfriend."
"Ha, he's absolutely amazing." I said looking up.
"It's easy to be." Asher smiles.
"Are you in love?" Another family member asked.
"I think that's more of personal matter." Asher comments
"Love is such an exclusive word." I muttered immediately getting self conscious. I tried to slide off of Asher's lap but he visibly shook his head.
"Are you two not exclusive?" The woman asked her daughter jumping off of her seat and running to go play with other children.
"Exclusive in what matter?" Asher asks stealing bacon off of my plate. I shot him a glare attempting to steal my bacon back but failing and having Asher full on molest my hand.
"Well, I see you guys are working some things out." She chuckled.
"Yeah, he's a few steps of being exclusively single." I said standing up and pulling my shorts down as I walked to discard of my plate. A few of Asher's younger cousins, Isaac, Matt and Sean were sitting at the table texting. I could already tell that they had a crush on me. At least Sean who seemed to be the captain of the trio.
"Hey, Peyton." Isaac smiled walking towards me with his plate.
"Hey, Isaac." I smiled sweetly. He took my plate for me and pushed up his glasses walking to the sink to wash the dishes.
"Hey boys." I smiled at the other guys.
"We were thinking about hitting up a movie tomorrow. You wanna come?" Sean asks nodding me over to him.
"I don't see why not. Do you just need someone over 17?" I asked crossing my legs on the chair and pushing some hair over my face. I've never had so many people looking at me in the morning.
"No, just as a kind gesture. I know you're trying to make a good impression." Matt said. I personally liked Matt. He never tried to hard.
"Oh, that's sweet. Yeah, sure that sounds cool."
"We'll pay." Isaac added sitting beside me. I was in between Isaac and Sean. It was fine until I felt Sean's hand on my leg. I jumped up and blushed furiously. I put more hair in my face mumbling excuses to go to my room. On my way to my room I bumped into another family member wanting to talk. Then another. By the time I got to my room I was having a full on panic attack. I wanted to cry and fall on the ground. I went into the bathroom turning the shower on cold and sitting inside I laid on the shower floor in fetal position. I cried. Tears that contrasted the water temperature fell on my cheek and nose. You couldn't tell you were crying in a shower. Everything was just wet. Wet and sad. I was pathetic. I couldn't even handle a couple family members without drugging it up.
"Peyton?" Asher called. I mentally told him I was here. Mentally but I couldn't get up. He called again walking into the bathroom. He didn't look scared or frantic. He turned the shower off and left for a second. I sighed silently thanking god I didn't have Asher's clothes on. Asher came back in and wrapped a few sheets and blankets around me, swaddling me to his chest. He locked the door and carried me to the bed.
