I think I love you.
Yes, I know that's cheesy but loving you just comes easy.
When you held my hand in the pool because you knew I couldn't swim, all other thoughts seemed to dim.
When we went to a gender reveal, you gave all your attention to me and suddenly I felt free.
I started to tic, so you took me outside quick.
Ever since my last breakup, love has been hard, and since then, my heart has been scarred.
Once, I felt loved.
Then I didn't.
Then it repeated.
Get the hint?
But this time, I think our love is true.
You say you love me, and I believe it, too.
You rub your thumb across my hand while driving me home.
With this new relationship, I have hope.
Hopefully this time, I can start anew.
Now I can truthfully say...
I love you.
