Meg sighs as she recieved a text from Chris, indicating that their parents just split up. She knew it was bound to happen someday but she didnt think about it until Stewie grown up and leaves the house at the point.
She knew but she didnt expected it until much later. She assumed that it was enough and boom it heading towards splitville. No but she couldnt help but replied 'Thanks for the heads up' and send the message.
What else could she say? That she was happy about it? That she wouldnt able to see the two of them in the same room again? That her mother left the house feeling defeated?
She knew it would be a lie that she wasnt happy because she was. She had enough of her parent being shitty parents, shitty adult figures in her life to the point that they failed her. She wasnt suprised when chris threw in that text to her face.
She felt at peace suddenly. A dark hole in her chest sewed back together again.
She glanced at the window of her small apartment, with a smile on her face. Now since her old life is no longer, it is time to focus on the new.
It was time to move on from her family and friends to improve her new life, where she was treated much better and show her love, more than her family could ever give it to her.
