Peter Griffin was an idiot to an extend but when realizing that Meg was gone, he felt indifference. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to act when his daughter wasn't coming back.
"Peter! Peter!" Lois was crying when she told him. Her face was hideous from crying too much. "Megs gone and she isnt coming back!" She wailed "My baby!"
"Im sure she come back Lois. Shes Meg" He knew that was a shitty answer but what else was he supposed to say? Humor Lois until it wasnt funny anymore? He wasn't that close to Meg as they had that antagonistic relationship between the two.
"Peter!" Lois screams furiously "She is your daughter! Do you not care about her anymore?" She glares at Peter. He raised his hands up silently.
"Whatever. Im going to my room" Lois pass him and slammed the door shut.
He winced "Dammit Meg"
